The Love Island star was left with a bloody lip injury after being bitten by his girlfriend’s dog, requiring six stitches and a tetanus shot

A Love Island star has ended up in hospital after his girlfriend’s dog bit his face. The 28 year old personal trainer, who graced screens on the ITV2 dating show in 2023, took to Instagram to share a gruesome snap of his lip injury that required six stitches and a tetanus jab.

In the video, Zach Noble and his girlfriend, 24 year old internet sensation Ava Hirons, are seen sitting in a hospital. Over the clip, he wrote: “POV: WHEN I HAVE TO PUT UP WITH HER ADHD AND THE FACT HER DOG BIT ME.” A few moments into the footage, Zach humorously tells Ava: “Ever since you entered my life, things have just gone downhill, proper.”

Ava, whose relationship with Zach was confirmed in October 2025 after they were spotted strolling in London, responds with a surprised: “Really?” She then zooms in on his face, plants a kiss, and starts serenading him with James Blunt’s hit, You’re Beautiful.

The video then cuts to a shot of Ava’s dog lounging on Zach’s chest, overlaid with the text: “1 TETANUS SHOT.” This is followed by a photo of Zach in A&E sporting the nasty lip wound, captioned: “4 HOUR WAIT.”

Next, we see a candid shot taken by Ava – whose mum is Caroline Hirons, the skincare guru from ITV’s This Morning – showing medics attending to Zach. He captions this image: “6 STITCHES.” The video concludes with a picture of the culprit canine, captioned: “FOR THIS REALLY.”

Zach summed up the post with the caption: “What a dog.” Ava chimed in the comments section, jokingly admitting: “It’s true guys… I did it he should leave me.”

Indeed, the eyes don’t lie. “One of Zach’s followers – a fan who cheered him on to fourth place with his former flame Molly Marsh, 24, on Love Island in 2023 – responded to his injury post, commenting: “Hope the dog doesn’t make an habit of it!!!”

“Zach, who parted ways with Molly in July 2025 after they reignited their love in May 2024 following a split seven months post their Love Island stint, retorted: “Na was my fault.”

Zach started dating Ava, three months after his split from Molly Marsh. Over the summer, TV personality Molly announced she had parted ways with Zach after falling for each other two years prior.

Molly and Zach met on the tenth series of the ITV2 show, which aired in 2023. They remained together after leaving the villa, but briefly separated last year before rekindling their romance months later. However, they ended things again in July, with Molly telling fans that they remain “friends”.

Three months later, it has been said Zach moved on with influencer Ava – who is the daughter of This Morning star Caroline Hirons.

The two reportedly grew close after going on a number of romantic dates. “It’s early days, but Ava and Zach have been casually dating,” an insider said.

“There was an instant spark there and they really fancy each other,” they told The Sun, before claiming Zach isn’t ‘rushing into anything serious’ as he only recently got out of a relationship.

The pair’s romance has since been confirmed as they post loved up pictures on social media together.

After Zach and Molly split up, she took to her Instagram Stories to confirm the sad news, writing: “I just want to confirm the rumours. Myself and Zac have split up and are no longer together.

“We have parted ways as friends and thank you all for your love and support of our relationship over the past 2 years.”

A source told the Sun at the time that “nothing bad” had happened between them. The source said: “They just made the decision to split on a mutual basis. The pair have no bad blood between them and will continue to be friends.”

The source added that the exes wanted to “cherish” the memories that they made together. They concluded: “Sometimes relationships work, and sometimes they don’t but they want to continue to be friends and cherish the couple of years they have spent together and are both grateful for Love Island bringing them into each others lives.”

Molly and Zachariah were original islanders on Love Island in 2023, but the former’s time was cut short when she was dumped from the villa just weeks in. She left after Kady McDermott coupled up with Zachariah upon her arrival.

A twist for Casa Amor however saw Molly return just days after her departure. She then ended up recoupling with Zachariah and the pair later reached the final. They placed fourth, with Jess Harding and Sammy Root winning instead.
