Malin Andersson, the former Love Island star, revealed in an emotional reel that she had “no ties left” after “29 years of sadness.”

Love Island star Malin Andersson has revealed she’s “quitting the UK”- after revealing there was “nothing left” in her hometown for her.

Malin, who rose to fame on the second season of the Love Island dating show in 2016 took to Instagram this morning to reveal the reasoning behind her decision.

The former Love Island star is currently in Portugal with her daughter Xaya, as she gave her followers an update on their living situation. “Update. Me and Xaya are in Madeira. My best friend lives here and we’re going to be here for a week before I go on my next adventure to Barcelona, because I’ll be dropping her off to see her dad for a week,” she said.

Malin described her past as being open about moving from Sweden to the UK at the age of three and having lived in Bedfordshire ever since. Take away from your safety net, she continued, “the people, the same faces, the same things that you’re in, and that’s that.”

However, Malin reaffirmed that there was “nothing for me” when she looked at it. The actress opened up about her emotions and declared, “I’m leaving without anyone. I came with a family. My siblings all live separately, my parents are deceased, and I have no family. Zaya and I are all together.

The 32-year-old then declared, “I had enough. My soul seemed to be being sucked from me. I was acting like a zombie, and I did the same. When you’ve lived your entire life and have experienced stress, suffering, and trauma, you go through the healing phase, the void, you enter, you isolate, and finally you emerge. And I’m like, “I need change, so I’ve done that.”

Malin then outlined how she needed adventure, fun, travel, and joy in addition to having “no ties” to England in any way.

After “coming out of the matrix” of routine,” she continued, saying that there was a new life waiting for her on the other side.

It “seems incredibly bizarre.” I also suffer a lot from grief. I’m angry about my miserable life. Really, 29 years of sadness. I’ve had Xaya, and that’s where it’s been most enjoyable. But it’s just grief, grief, the way people treat me, and losing my family. I guess at this moment I’m just grieving.

The area we are born into is meant to keep us there forever, Malin wrote in the caption.

“Until we realise the more we expand and break free into the world, our external reality will reward our nervous system by expanding the abundance that’s available to us.”

Just a year after her stint in the villa, Malin tragically lost her mother to stomach cancer. Four years later, in 2022, the Love Island star announced the birth of Xaya with then boyfriend Jared. However, just weeks after Xaya’s birth, the couple decided to call it quits.

Malin stated on Twitter at the time, “I have always prided myself on being open and honest on this, so I wanted to let you all know that Jared and I are no longer together.” We split about four weeks ago, and I’ve been attempting to reconcile with everything.

We are co-parenting Xaya because she obviously comes first in everything, but we would appreciate some space to maneuver through this separation.
