Love Island star Liberty Poole shared the blunder on her social media, revealing the ordeal took place shortly after she arrived home from travelling for six weeks

Love Island star Liberty Poole has suffered a disaster in Storm Goretti as her parked car crashed into her neighbour’s garden.

The TV star, who recently returned from a trip to Mexico and Dubai after six weeks away, didn’t realise the severity of the storm when the ordeal took place. Liberty revealed in a TikTok video she had been advised by a pal to move her car off her drive as her driveway is sloped.

But, when she attempted to reverse the Fiat 500 off her driveway, she lost control of the car and decided to leave it halfway across her drive with the handbrake up. However, she soon discovered the car wasn’t as secure as she thought as she heard a bang and looked out her window to see her car had crashed.

Speaking in a TikTok video, Liberty took deep breaths before she said: “I can’t make my life up. So this is my first day back, right? My first day back in the UK – no one told me about Storm Goretti. My mate gets on the phone she’s like, ‘Libs you’re going to have to park your car at the bottom of the road. I start to reverse off my drive, I loose control, I’m just gonna leave it halfway up my drive, but I’m gonna put the handbrake on because I don’t trust where this car is going, it could be going anywhere now.

“I’m minding my own business, cooking my dinner – bang, bang – what the hell? I looked outside, my car’s slid all the way down into the neighbour’s garden,” she gasped before adding: “Let me post the evidence…”

She then shared a photo of her Fiat 500 across the road with tyre tracks through the snow showing it slid from Liberty’s driveway to the other side of the road. She then added: “It’s literally diagonal, in the road, in my neighbour’s bush – are you kidding?! Like you cannot make my life up. My car slid down into the neighbour’s garden. I’ve just had to leave it on the road,” she said before taking more deep breaths.

Liberty then explained more about the situation as she told Sky News: “Now my drive is really steep, it’s like – kids could probably go sledging down my drive it’s that steep and I lost control, so I thought, ‘I’m just gonna leave the handbrake on’.

“Anyway, I’m cooking dinner in the microwave and I hear a bang and I’m like, ‘what was that? That sounded like it was coming from outside’.”

She continued: “So I live in a rural area and I look outside my window and I’m like, ‘Hang on, my car’s not on my drive, where’s my car gone?’ Anyway, my car’s ended up in the neighbour’s garden,” she laughs. “In the bush, across the road.”

Liberty added: “I guess my advice would be if you do have a car on a steep drive, make sure you leave it in first gear. And, luckily, I ordered food last night and the guy got here before the weather conditions got too bad. But, I gave him a massive tip, there’s no stopping it.”
