Love Island star announces engagement seven years after appearing on show

Love Island star Chloe Crowhurst has announced her engagement to her partner David Houghton.

The 28-year-olds partner popped the question during a trip to Dubai. Posting pictures of the moment on Instagram, Chloe wrote: “Here’s to us, to forever. 10.02.25.” In the reel of photos, the star posted a black and white picture of the two hugging after the special moment, alongside her reaction to David getting down on one knee.

Friends and fans rushed to the comments to congratulate the pair, with one writing: “Ahhh this is amazing! Congratulations babe,” while another echoed: “Some of my favourite pictures ever. Congratulations guys, over the moon.”

“Massive congratulations to you both, you gorgeous girl,” penned a third. Fellow Love Island star Marcel Somerville, who appeared in the same series as Chloe wrote: “Congratulations Chlo! Amazing news.”

It comes over two years after Chloe and David welcomed their daughter Aria. Sharing the news on Instagram in April 2022, Chloe shared: “”8th April 2022; my favourite day of all. 14 days late, weighing 7lb 11. We are so in love with you, our baby girl.”

Chloe first announced her pregnancy in January 2022, posting a picture of a pink jumper which read: “Welcome little one,” along with pictures of her bump.

During her time in the villa in 2017, Chloe failed to make a connection despite getting to know both Chris Hughes and Sam Gowland. After leaving the villa single, Chloe rekindled with her ex, The Only Way Is Essex star Jon Clark. However, they once again called time on their relationship shortly after.

Later on, Chloe admitted that she only ventured onto the ITV dating show in a bid to make her ex Jon jealous after discovering that he had allegedly cheated on her. The star then revealed she only decided to head to Majorca to star on the show three hours before her flight to Spain.

She then went on to date Ex On The Beach star Dean Ralph, however, once again their romance was cut short.

A year before the birth of her daughter, Chloe revealed she had been in a serious car accident. Sharing an image of herself in a hospital gown, she wrote on social media: “Hi guys, I’ve just been collected from hospital due to being in a serious car accident. I won’t be responding to anyone until I can. I am in a lot of pain and distress.”
