Two Love Island stars have revealed they are engaged after months of speculation.
Sheep farmer Will Young, 26, and Australian Jessie Wynter, 29, will tie the knot soon after Will got down on one knee before Christmas in a secret proposal on December 9. Taking to Instagram, Will revealed the happy news and said: “The love of my life said yes. 09.12.25.”
Sharing snaps from his very impressive proposal – not to mention his gorgeous choice of huge diamond ring – Will revealed he had planning to pop the question to Jessie – who he met on the 2023 series of Love Island – for over a year.
He said, “I asked Jessie to marry me on December 9th. We’ve been celebrating just like we’ve always wanted to with no outside noise except for for Jessie’s family and ourselves.

Will continued: “We wanted to soak up this moment together and be fully present before sharing it with the world. We still feel like we’re living in a dream. I can’t believe we’re engaged. My heart has never felt so full of love.”
He acknowledged that keeping the proposal, which appeared to have taken place on top of a cliff and was surrounded by white flowers and candles, was “not easy” at the time.
He sweetly remarked, “Jessie deserves the world, and I can’t wait to give it to her.” I’ve been the happiest boy in the world since we first met on Love Island three years ago. I was already certain that Jessie would make the perfect wedding day, so I just knew it had to be perfect.
Will revealed where the proposal was to take place on Jessie’s native island and how much they asked for her to marry. I looked everywhere for the ideal location.
She says, “I am aware of her love for the ocean and the mountains, and she cherishes her home.” Jessie always takes me to her favorite views when we visit Tasmania, and she just sits there and admires how stunning it is. So when I came across this location, I knew it was it.
Will gushed, “We are so incredibly happy,” out of disbelief. Jessie, I have a heart of gold in you and commit to loving you forever. Here’s to forever making you the happiest woman on earth. And thank you for making me the happiest person alive.
The post also contained a Jessie comment, “The most perfect day.” I’m so in love with you.
