Love Island: All Stars viewers were left confused over Jess Harding’s behaviour on Wednesday’s edition of the ITV2 dating show as she told Tommy off and then apologised to Charlie
Love Island: All Stars fans were left confused when Jess Harding apologised to Charlie Frederick over their love triangle drama. The reality star, 31, is back in the villa looking for love after previously winning the 2023 edition of the hit ITV2 dating reality show.
Over the last few days, fans have watched as Charlie started up a romance with Millie Court but then shared a kiss with Jess. It seemed as if Jess had been expecting Charlie to couple up with her, but he chose Millie. Jess was then left furious with Tommy, despite his decision to couple up with her.
On Wednesday’s episode, she raged at Tommy: “It’s publicly shaming and I’m not gonna lie, it’s so f******* rude. The whole thing. I’m standing up there on my own and you’re throwing shade at me and you made me look like an absolute fool, darling!”

Tommy pleaded: “You’ve been ghosting me, you’ve not even looked at me. I haven’t felt much!” but she hit back: “I’m overwhelmed with a lot of situations that are going on in my head so for me to stand there and feel like I’m being publicly shamed because you’re embarrassing me. Fair play to me because I took that straight on the chin.”
He replied:”I wasn’t saying anything nasty about you personally, I was speaking my mind and how I feel. Every time, I vote from my heart and my mind.”
“Charlie would never do that, go to speak to Charlie, go speak to one of the other boys. Do you not understand where I’m coming from? “Not really, no! I apologise for upsetting you but I’m just speaking from my point of view.” It was what Jess did next that riled viewers as she immediately went to apologise to Charlie.
She said: “I will say sorry, I am actually really sorry, especially after that whole Tommy situation. But this is the problem you’re exploring two connections. You’ve got to know that you’re gonna come to some sort of consequences.”
He replied: “Everyone likes to make it deep, what am I meant to do? Not kiss you, then recouple with Mills and then not wanna kiss you? I don’t wanna lose that spark with you but I can’t be a***** with this drama from either of you.” It was then that Jess declared that she was removing herself from the situation, but fans were left wondering what her game was given her initial conversation with Charlie.
One fan wrote: “They needed to focus on that more because Jess is basically confessing she likes him more but also how does she know that? Charlie does not give that impression especially after picking Millie!” and another said: “Jess is upset because Charlie didn’t pick her at the re coupling, not because of what Tommy said (who stated facts anyway)”
A third wrote: “jess needs to get out of charlie’s a**** he literally picked someone else babe wake up,” whilst a fourth wrote: “jess why are u apologising to charlie u absolute bird brain. dont think i dont notice how u keep bringing whitney and belle just incase they try blaming you”
Last night, AJ picked Shaq, Sammie picked Ciaran, Scott picked Leanne, Sean picked Helena, Konnor picked Whitney and Jack picked Belle. Charlie then reasoned his choice was down to the fact that she was a “good kisser” and chose Millie. Following this, Tommy chose Jess but there was an undeniably frosty atmosphere on set.
Fans instantly took to social media to question Charlie’s decision, with one writing: “Charlie just kissed Jess talking bout thank God can’t wait to sleep in the same bed with you Mils??” Another fumed: “This show is a genuine psychological experiment… why do they act like this?!”
A third said: “So Charlie lipsed Jess just for him to choose Millie, he is such a loser,” and another wrote: “Is Charlie suffering from some sort of mental illness or what cos I’m so confused right now.” Another fumed: “This recoupling is such a f****** mess, like what is this season actually!”
Jess was later in tears again over the way things had turned out, but some fans didn’t exactly take her side. One wrote: “I’m with Tommy tbf. Jess decided after 5 days to start talking to Charlie and then said to Tommy… You live with your mom, we are at different times in our lives… U knew that from the beginning.”
Another said: “I don’t understand why Jess is surprised when she’s the one whose literally dropped him the second Charlie gave her attention!” The Islanders later urged Charlie to tell Millie that he had kissed Jess prior to choosing her.
Before the recoupling had taken place, it had all kicked off with Scott getting involved in the drama. Millie was then seen telling her fellow Islanders to “drop it” and insisting that she, Charlie, and Jess were all “moving on”.
On the verge of tears, Jess raged: “Everyone is putting their f****** two pence in! I don’t get it. At the end of the day, I’m here for myself, and I do carry some guilt on my shoulders. It’s just the way that I’ve spoken to every single boy, and they all agree. Scott is supposed to be my f****** friend.”
