After Blue performed at the villa on Wednesday night’s episode, Love Island: All Stars fans were divided. The legendary boyband showed up at the venue to perform their signature hits.

Love Island: All Stars fans were divided after Blue gave a performance on Wednesday night’s episode. The boyband, consisting of Simon Webbe, Duncan James, Antony Costa, and Lee Ryan, strutted onto the set of the South African villa after Helena got a text announcing their impending arrival.

She declared: “Islanders, it’s time to get glam! Tonight you’ll be feeling anything but Blue as the villa hosts a performance from a legendary British boyband!” Some confusion ensued, as some contestants thought Jack’s dad Ronan Keating had jetted in with Boyzone. But he reminded his pals: “We’re Irish!”

After launching into their signature hits All Rise and One Love, AJ shouted from the crowd: “I had your poster on my wall!” and Simon declared that all he wanted to see on the island was love.

Some viewers appeared to be unaware of who Blue were despite the islanders’ enthusiasm. The band was founded in 2000 and continued to play until 2005, but they resurrected in 2011 and released their most recent studio album, Reflections, just a few days later.

On X, a viewer wrote, “I’m shocked at the idea that people don’t know who Boyzone are… But then I’m basically a fossil, so that’s that.” and another wrote, “As a 25-year-old, am I too young or too old to know Blue?” Or”?

A third person wrote, “Whitney wonders if she doesn’t know boyzone, because she doesn’t know these blue men!” and another wrote, “Not people saying whos blue and the islanders not knowing the lyrics. You are not “90s babies, by definition”!

The Islanders claimed a performance from the pop group was exactly what they needed as the singers wished them the “best time” on the show. However, a fan later wrote, “They’ve gone from who’s Blue.” to portray them as Blue’s biggest supporters. One person criticized “Blue’s taken up more screen time than Leanne & Samie,” while calling her “a real fan.” “Sack this off” In the end, Blue, who also performed their new song Beautiful Spiritual, impressed the Islanders. Sean then declared, “The love is returning to the Villa”!

From series seven’s Millie Court to series nine’s Shaq Muhammad, 12 ex-Islanders made their way back to the ITV villa for another chance at love in the first episode. Before the series’ first icebreaker, Tommy Bradley and Jess Harding exchanged flirty texts that they had been sending each other outside of the villa and that caused a lot of kissing.

After their smooching session – which saw the girls kiss the boys they thought would be good and boy for them – host Maya Jama revealed the results of the first public coupling vote. Sean and Belle Hassan were matched together, followed by Jack and Whitney, Tommy and Jess, Shaq and Leanne and then Ciaran and Millie. But then a drama tic recoupling took place just days into the series.

On ITV2 and ITVX, Love Island: All Stars airs on weeknights at 9 p.m.
