Former Made In Chelsea star, Louise Thompson, has revealed her son, Leo, four, is in hospital

Louise Thompson has revealed her son, Leo, four, has been hospitalised.

The former Made In Chelsea star, 35, who is the sister of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! winner, Sam Thompson, suffered a traumatic birth with her son in 2021, during which she nearly died after an emergency caesarean and lost three and a half litres of blood. Things got worse after she suffered another haemorrhage at home, resulting in Louise losing five litres of blood and waking up in intensive care

Now, the columnist has revealed that little Leo has been taken to hospital for bleeding tonsils as she shared a snap of the tot on the ward with a canula in his hand. Captioning the post, Louise told her followers he was, thankfully, responding well to treatment, saying: “Hopefully just a temporary blip. Anyone else’s child had bleeding tonsils before?”

Thanking her network for their support, she continued: “Thanks for your kind messages. He is doing really really well and as always has been looked after incredibly well by angels of our universe (I feel a suitable LinkedIn job description for nurses and doctors).

“I think I have the most supportive mum following on here ever. You guys are so brilliant – so practical, resourceful and everyone has dealt with some kind of drama at some point over their life so between 1.5million of you I think we have nearly everything covered.”

It comes after Louise said and she and partner, Ryan Libbey, would like to expand their family after ‘finally feeling ready’ following Leo’s traumatic arrival.

Sharing a sweet picture of Ryan and Leo, she wrote: “All I want for 2026… Is a baby!”

The message shared on her Substack post saw the mum-of-one open up on her desire for “expanding her family”. Louise announced said: “Next year is going to be full of health, growth and prosperity. I’m ready for newness and if we are lucky family expansion.”

After giving birth to her son Leo, Louise revealed she had suffered multiple injuries. This included a post-natal haemorrhage. She later developed Asherman’s Syndrome – a condition in which scar tissue in the uterus becomes ‘glued’ together.

In 2024, Louise revealed she’d had a stoma bag fitted after suffering from ‘agonising’ ulcerative colitis.

The then 34-year-old shared a photo of herself with the stoma bag, posting: “HOW DO I DISCLOSE THIS SORT OF NEWS?”
