In preparation for her husband John’s cancer treatment, the 43-year-old influencer shared the sad health news with followers on Instagram. After being diagnosed with stage three of the disease in April 2023, John, 64, has stage four adrenal cancer.
In 2024, John recovered, but in May of the same year, Lorna discovered that his cancer had returned to his adrenal glands and had also spread to his brains.
Lorna revealed John had undergone brain tumor removal surgery last month. The fashion and lifestyle influencer has now revealed that her husband, who was receiving chemotherapy for a complication, was taken to the hospital earlier this week.
On her Instagram story, she wrote, “J’s back in hospital… He had organ failure, and two days ago the intensive care team were preparing me for the worse.
She wrote before adding, “But John isn’t the typical patient, and he’s somehow defied the odds, showing improvement every step of the way. I want to respect his privacy but also be open about how things are going, so it’s challenging to strike the right balance. He has been criticizing me for not posting, even asking why I’ve never shared anything, so this is both for him and for you.
A video of the pair kissing on a balcony in the sun was shared by her Instagram grid. We haven’t come this far, just come this far, wrote Lorna in the video’s title.
Lorna then added in the caption: “My man is back in hospital… and while we’re both putting a brave face on it, this past few days haven’t been easy. A complication with his chemo left him with organ failure and two days ago the intensive care team were preparing me for the worse. But John isn’t the average patient and he’s somehow defied the odds, showing improvement every step of the way.
“It’s a struggle to strike the right balance,” he said. “I want to respect his privacy but also be open about how things are going.” He has been criticizing me for not posting, even asking why I didn’t share an update, so this is both his and your cause.
We’re both so appreciative of the genuine kindness and giggles you’ve shown us. Without you and the community we’ve all built, I don’t think I would have been able to get through this year. I’m so grateful to you.
Lorna was flooded with messages of support in the comments section from celebrity friends, including Shaughna Phillips who wrote: “You’ve had it b****y hard this year, but your vulnerability at such a scary time in your life, is so brave and powerful.
