London Marathon: Joel Dommett shares wild pre-marathon trip as Joe Wicks smiles ahead of race

The London Marathon, which will feature 26.2 miles of runners around the capital, is expected to draw in 56, 000 participants in 2025.

Joel Dommett also revealed his wild pre-marathon strategy, and celebrities who have participated in the London Marathon have begun to line up.

A large number of people are expected to face the enormous challenge this year, with many of them well-known faces. One of the celebs, Joe, has been training his trainers this morning and hopes to complete the 26.2 mile course around the capital.

He has shared his marathon schedule, which included getting up at 6:30 am, and that he was on his way to the start line this morning. He posted a collection of photos on social media showing how he would be completing the marathon for the Brain Tumour Support organization.

His trainers, his vest, and six running gels that he intend to bring with him, were all displayed in one snap, along with one of them. Joel had planned his route, which included running from 8:30 am to 9 am, on a piece of paper where he awoke at 6:30 am.

The TV presenter plans to start at 10 am and cross the finish line at 1 pm, making the race his goal in three hours. He needs to leave his house once more an hour and 45 minutes later to head for filming, and he should do so at 3 p.m. to take an ice bath and eat before returning home.

Joel isn’t the only celeb to be running the London Marathon as fitness fanatic Joe Wicks also pictured himself in the car on the way. Taking to his Instagram page, Joe wrote: “Good luck to anyone running the London Mazza today. I hope you have a wonderful day. It’s such a special achievement to cross the line regardless of the time. I’m taking it nice and slow today myself.

No “time pressure” at all. I want to enjoy the atmosphere and encourage others, so if you see me and want a high five, just call me. I adore Joe a lot.

Lindsey Burrow was seen bright and early ready for the 26.2 mile run. She will be running in memory of her husband Rob Burrow who passed away in June 2024 after being diagnosed with MND in 2019. Just two weeks later she will also run the Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon to continue raising money for the Leeds Rhinos Foundation and Leeds Hospitals Charity.
