The Women’s Super League opener against Arsenal will be played on Saturday, when the London City Lionesses will wear the slogan “Everyone Watches Women’s Sports” on the front of their shirts.

This will be the first time a company led by female athletes will sponsor a professional women’s sports team, according to club owner Michele Kang, who calls it a “powerful statement.”

London City and Togethxr, a sportswomen’s media company, have partnered with them, including American Alex Morgan, a two-time World Cup winner.

Aryna Sabalenka and Qinwen Zheng, both tennis players, have partnered with the Togethxr “Everyone Watches” brand at the US Open.

Following their promotion from the Championship last year, London City are the first WSL team to play completely independent.

The founders of London City Lionesses were “born to reimagine women’s football: to be bold, independent, and to advance women’s football,” said Kang.

We look forward to starting important discussions that advance women’s sport by putting “Everyone Watches Women’s Sports” on our kit.

Since taking control of London City in December 2023, Kang’s Kynisca Sports International group also owns Washington Spirit and OL Lyonnes.
