Rio Ngumoha, a teenager from Liverpool, has signed with the Premier League champions for the first time.
On his Premier League debut last month, Ngumoha, 17, scored the winner against Newcastle in the 100th minute.
The length of Ngumoha’s new deal has not been confirmed by Liverpool.
In September 2024, the forward made five senior appearances for Chelsea before joining the Reds.
In a 4-0 FA Cup win over Accrington, Ngumoha became the youngest player to start a game for Liverpool at the age of 16 years and 135 days old.
When Atletico Madrid defeated him at Anfield this month, he also received a Champions League debut.
At Chelsea, he was regarded as the best player in his generation, but he left to join Liverpool because he thought first-team football was a better path.
Despite the Blues’ attempts to provide assurances and the award of several significant future contracts, this was denied.
In his pre-season debut against Athletic Club in August, Liverpool manager Arne Slot named Ngumoha in his first-team debut.
Ngumoha, who played on the left, scored just two minutes into the second half to receive a standing ovation on the right.
