I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! is a reality for Lily Phillips, who has revealed she would definitely be up for it! after recently visiting Australia.
Lily Phillips has hinted she could be set to appear on I’m A Celebrity. The content creator, who is no stranger to controversy, is currently in Australia, where the ITV programme is filmed. This year, the likes of Jack Osbourne, Aitch, AngryGinge, Ruby Wax, Lisa Riley, Eddie Kadi and Kelly Brook are all battling out to become the next King or Queen of the Jungle.
But while the current celebs are embedded deep in the camp, Lily, 24, admits she would be more than happy to be surrounded by spiders and snakes. “I would love to do I’m A Celeb,” she told the Mirror. She added: “I wish that is why I was going to Australia. I one hundred per cent would love to [do it], I’d have to buy some critters from the internet before and try them and do my own little Bushtucker Trials. I’ve been skydiving, I’m not really afraid of creepy crawlies, I think I’d be pretty good in the jungle.”
She continued, “My home is infested with spiders because I currently reside in the countryside.” We’ve come to the conclusion that we’re just cohabiting, which is fine.
The content creator has recently made an appearance on ITV’s Blind Matchmaker, despite Lily’s reputation for her frequently contentious adult entertainment stunts. Contestants are completely blindfolded as they search for love in the television series. The contestants can only rely on the person’s voice, confidence, humor, and personality to determine their own success, unlike other shows like Love Is Blind.
Lily praised the concept of no preconceived notions of how someone looks or what kind of bias exists behind it. She continued, “I think it’s kind of like Blind Dates because it’s nice to date someone based on their voice and personality rather than necessarily their appearance.”
Reflecting on dating as a woman in her early twenties with dozens of apps, including the likes of Raya, Tinder and Hinge to name a few, Lily said: “If you don’t like the way they look, they’re out of the picture.
Dating apps now narrow down their search using around five images and a string of questions, including “Dream dinner guests” and “Describe your ideal Sunday” before even speaking with the person at the other end.
I personally find someone to be more attractive because I become more drawn to them and form a relationship with them. Although she may have hundreds of potential partners waiting to meet her, Lily acknowledges that her dating life is not all that it can be called.
She described her quest for love as “challenging.” I don’t really date, in any way, in any way, either, in all truth. I’ve never been on a date, and I’ve always felt like “This is going to be serious,” so I just assumed that someone would never date me because they knew what I do. But let’s go out for some drinks and have a good time.
“So definitely challenging, but we won’t quite cross that bridge yet; we’ll see when it comes.” However, Lily acknowledges that it “weans out” people who she wouldn’t date if they were hostile toward her or opposed to her. “I wouldn’t want to date them anyway, just because I don’t live in that kind of lifestyle.”
On ITVX and ITV’s YouTube channel, you can watch Blind Matchmakers.
