Lily Allen’s younger brother Alfie has shared what he really thinks about her 2007 song, named after him, which criticises the actor for being ‘lazy’
Alfie Allen has shared his views on the diss track released by his older sister, Lily. In 2007, the singer released the song Alfie, about her little brother, while criticising him for being lazy.
Lily has previously said that her brother was “upset” about the song, believing she was “attacking him” and pointing out his flaws. However, she said that the song had been “flattering” and had hoped it showed her younger brother that she loved him and cared for him.
But while the song peaked at Number 15 on the Official UK Charts, Alfie has now spoken out and said he found it far from flattering. In a new interview, he said that while the song branded him lazy, he always had his sights set on being an actor – a career he launched, aged just two, in 1988, appearing in one episode of The Comic Strip Presents…
“No, I don’t think it was,” he said when asked if he found Lily’s song motivational. Alfie went on to add: “I always wanted to be an actor.” However, despite being the son of Keith Allen and film producer Alison Owen, Alfie admits he’s not sure whether showbiz runs in his blood. It comes after one huge TV star looks completely unrecognisable as she reveals latest facelift

Speaking to Radio Times, he said: “I don’t know, I mean… I’d have to kind of know somebody else’s experience.” But while some may be happy to talk about their relatives, Alfie admits it makes him “squirm.” He told the publication: “I have been squirming, you’re right. I’ve been moving around in my chair.
“Yeah, I’d just rather not talk about them.” But Alfie is at the moment, arguably, the most in-demand person in his family, having starred in McVeigh last year, as well as appearing in the TV series, Safe Harbor, this year as Tobias. and taking the lead role as Max in Sky’s new drama, Atomic, inspired by The Atomic Bazaar, a book written by Vanity Fair’s William Langewiesche.
Away from the screens, he’s also taking on the role of Frankie in the theatre production of Dealer’s Choice at the Donmar Warehouse in London.
He’s also set to work with David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, the showrunners who cast him as Theon Greyjoy for Game of Thrones in 2011, for the second series of Netflix’s Body Problem.
Reflecting on his success and his decision to not talk about his family, Alfie said: “I just don’t want to be reactive to those things. Maybe I’ll get so bored [with dodging questions] I’ll have a change of heart at some point. But not yet.”
Speaking about his character in the new Sky series, Alfie previously commented: “He’s a big believer in the power of love and connection between people. But this is interrupted by a crazy stunt that happens in the first 30 seconds of the show.” Thrown into danger from the get-go, Max is ambushed by militants while crossing the Libyan desert – until one spares him.”
“The first stunt in the series is a massive car crash, which was actually the first day of shooting for me,” he says. “The car flips over, and that’s where I meet the man I call JJ, as he won’t tell me his name.”
