You fall into either camp when it comes to taking a week off with just hand luggage or when you need a suitcase, carry-on bag, and a personal item to get through the weekend. Nowhere in between. If you fall under the latter category (and, similarly), Lily Allen’s helpful packing advice will help you maximize your space without having to dispose of any of those crucial “just in case” items.

Lily and her pal Miquita Oliver recently shared a quote from her podcast Miss Me that reads, “You can get more into a suitcase when you’re using a packing cube. As I previously mentioned, you can fit four, sometimes five outfits inside a suitcase before you can probably fit about ten packing cubes inside. For everything, she continued, “I have a packing cube.” I have a packing cube for shoes, a cube for my toiletries, and a cube for my looks.

If you can fit four or five outfits into a case and ten in a case, you have room for between 40 and 50 different looks without having to travel far. For just £19.99 (down from £14.99), you can get the Packing Cubes Trio at Lakeland’s current sale, which will make it easier to get your hands on if you want to put Lily’s advice into practice.

The packing cubes come in three different sizes, making it simple to organize your suitcase’s contents when you arrive at your destination. You can arrange them into full outfits or look like Lily does, or use them to organize your belongings according to type, such as shirts and tops in one, shorts and skirts in another, and dresses in third place.

The smaller cube is also ideal for storing toiletries in or for jewelry and other accessories. The cubes are secured with a zip and are made of strong polyester with a waterproof backing, which prevents the rest of your clothes from strewn in the event of minor shampoo explosions or leaks.

These seven-packs of Amazon’s ECOHUB packing cubes come in a variety of sizes and come in a variety of sizes. They were originally sold for £26.99, but they’re currently available for just £21.59 and come in eight different colors.
