Lightning beat Mavericks to go top of Super League

Loughborough Lightning put on a strong performance to defeat the London Mavericks 79-58 to claim the title in netball.

At the conclusion of the first quarter, Lightning held on to a 23-12 lead. They have won three of their previous four Grand Finals.

Ella Clark and Berri Neil also impressed with their 14 and 13 goals, respectively, as did Samantha Wallace-Joseph, who finished with 24 goals for the winers.

With one round of fixtures left before the play-offs, the Mavericks are currently fourth in the standings with 24 goals scored by Emily Andrew.
