The Liverpool car attack’s victims have been prayed for by Lord Gallagher. A car slammed into the crowd on Monday as thousands of people gathered across the streets to celebrate Liverpool FC’s Premier League victory parade, injuring dozens.

Merseyside Police confirmed that a 53-year-old white British man from the Liverpool area had been detained shortly after the incident. Following the arrest at the scene, Merseyside Police Assistant Chief Constable Jenny Sims claimed that the “horrific incident” was not being treated as terrorism.
