After his wife, who is over 20 years younger than him, gave birth to their first child, the rock star from the 1980s has since remarried.
An eighties rock legend has revealed his wife has gave birth to the couple’s first child. Roland Orzabal, 64, and his wife Emily, 38, became parents to the tot earlier in the summer.
Curt Smith, Roland’s bandmate and Tears for Fears member, acknowledged that the guitarist’s growing brood was the cause of the band’s summer break.
Emily Rath Orzabal gave birth in June. A number of her Instagram followers revealed the name in the comments section on one of her posts.
On an image of her pregnant while standing in front of a picturesque back drop, one user wrote: “Congratulations to you & Roland on the birth of Eula ! so happy for you both.” Explaining further how they knew the name, they claimed Roland’s brother announced it on one of the band’s online forums.

And Curt further opened up about the pair’s new arrival while chatting with Vulture last month. He said: “We were going to tour this summer, but Roland and his wife had a baby in June.
You don’t want to be so close to having a baby, so the summer touring obviously wasn’t done.
The couple’s first child is the musician and photographer. He also has two children, Pascal and Raoul, who were both born to Caroline, who passed away in 2017 at the age of 54.
In 2020, Roland and Emily quietly rekindled their union. They were buried in Colorado’s Aspen Mountain at the time, where they shared their vows. After being forced to cancel their original wedding due to the Covid-19 pandemic, they were forced to cancel.
Due to Covid, Emily said at the time, “We had to postpone our original wedding date in September 2020. When should we get married, I felt as though all corona brides have been feeling angry, sad, gypped, and unsure.
“Roland and I were working in the States. We secretly eloped, just the two of us, atop a mountain in Aspen, because we desperately wanted to get married, even just legally, and to honor our original date. It was my life’s most magical experience.
No one wanted to risk their safety, but it breaks my heart that my family couldn’t see it. Although it was never my dream to get married twice, we made the decision to separate the ceremony from the legal ceremony.
She continued, “We can use the spring flowers that we originally wanted in September and we can have them all in the spring.” Our wedding took place on Aspen Mountain at 11 / 212 feet, but it will take place next year inside a fantastic venue.
The pair’s ceremony was more lavish the following year. Their closest and dearest attended their second wedding at Oxfordshire’s Blenheim Palace.
