German international Anton Stach has been signed by Leeds United for £17 million.

The 26-year-old has signed for a four-year deal with the international international team.

Stach joins Leeds’ current summer signings, who were promoted to the Premier League after winning the Championship last year.

In joining manager Daniel Farke’s squad for the 2025-26 campaign, he joins Sebastiaan Bornauw, Jaka Bijol, Gabriel Gudmundsson, Lukas Nmecha, and Sean Longstaff.

Stach, who is 6’4″ tall, said, “I’m excited to join such a good team, such a good Premier League team, and I’m looking forward to the following season.”

Stach and fellow-countryman Nmecha previously participated in Germany’s 2021 European Under-21 Championship victory.

The main goal, he added, is to stay in the league, “to develop, adapt to the league, to the speed of course, and then hopefully to have many good experiences.”

Stach left Mainz in 2023 to join Hoffenheim, where he made 71 appearances over the course of his two seasons. With Hoffenheim finishing 15th, he helped them avoid being relegated from the Bundesliga last year.

Andreas Schicker, the head of Hoffenheim’s sports division, called Anthony an outstanding footballer who consistently put forth strong performances here over the past two seasons.
