The publication of an upskirt photo of TV star Narinder Kaur has led to a plea of not guilty to charges of sexual offence, according to Laurence Fox.

Kaur, 52, an actor-turned-politician who regularly appears on Good Morning Britain and has previously appeared on GB News, is accused of sharing a compromising image in a tweet published in April 2024. Fox, a resident of Peldon, Essex, was charged with two counts of sexual offence under the Sexual Offences Act 2003 at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Friday.

In the first count, he is accused of sending a “photograph or film of genitals to cause alarm, distress or humiliation,” while the second alleges he shared a “photograph or film of person in intimate state intending to cause alarm, distress or humiliation.”

The actor entered not-guilty pleas to both charges in court to confirm his identity and to verify his identity.

The 46-year-old entered not guilty pleas to both charges after speaking to confirm his identity while donning light blue jeans and a pair of grey jeans. Liz Barker, his fiance, and the court were present from the audience.

Following an eleven-month investigation into two posts on social media site X, Fox, 46, was charged by the police last month.

According to the police, Fox was “charged with an offence against section 66A of the Sexual Offences Act 2003” for posting an image on a social media platform in April 2024. The Sexual Offences Act’s Section 66A deals with “cyber flashing.”

In accordance with the 2023 law, it is illegal to intentionally share a sexual image of someone without their consent in order to aggravate, afflict, or gratify someone with it.

In 2019, it was illegal to pose for photos of people without their permission while they were wearing under their clothing. Offenders may be placed on the sex offenders’ register and face up to two years in prison.

This is related to a post on X that Mr. Fox posted on April 30, 2024, according to Prosecutor David Burns.

The complainant appears to be in an intimate state with her genitalia in “That post.”

Fox chose to have the trial before a jury at crown court during the brief hearing. On May 23, he will make an appearance at a pre-trial hearing at Woolwich Crown Court.

Kaur, 52, claimed the image in a post on X was “unimaginably mortifying.”

Fox, of Peldon, Essex, wrote online shortly after the social media posts that he wanted to apologize to “Ms. Kaur.”

The TV star was pictured in the compromising image more than 15 years ago, he then said, “It’s not my fault.”

He continued, “This is yet another deeply concerning example of the two-tier British “justice” system in all its Soviet glory,” he said after the criminal charges were made public.

“I’ll handle this offensive, ridiculous, vexatious, and malicious nonsense the same way they did the first time,” he said.

How much time, effort, and money will the @metpoliceuk spend trying to silence regular British citizens while ignoring actual crimes? Fight ! Fight ! Fight ! “.

Following an on-air rant about journalist Ava Evans, Fox was fired from GB News in October 2023. In ITV’s drama series Lewis, he previously portrayed James Hathaway.
