TOWIE icon-turned-OnlyFans creator Lauren Goodger has opened up about why she joined the controversial platform – and what she gets out of it
Speaking to Lauren at the launch of Olivia Attwood ’s new ITV2 series Getting Filty Rich – the fourth outing of the franchise, the reality star – who banks some £30k a month from the platform – tells the Mirror that she feels her reasons for joining five years ago are a little different to others.
“I think my story is a little bit different from the others’.” She explains that she just thought it was really interesting and a good opportunity for me to explain why I do it and what I do on it.

“And it’s actually not that bad because I prefer that thousands of people have access to it because there are only a few hundred fans there, and I have to pay a higher price.” because I’m the only one to show my boobs.
She continues, “I’ve been appearing on magazine covers for the past ten years, and I’m not being funny.” I was naked, in any case, like in the Closer magazine! I’m a total jerk, they all want me to be naked. What difference does it make, then? I might as well earn money from it.
Other OnlyFans creators, such as Kerry Katona, have had a background in the glamour industry – but for Lauren, it’s a whole new world, she says.
“The girl next door was, and I still am.” I’m a pretty girl at home. For two years, only a few people tried to convince me to use it. They actually set it up, and they wanted me to be, and I said, “I don’t want to do that.”
The circumstance changed. The cost wasn’t the same as it used to be, and the money wasn’t going anywhere. So I decided to go into Covid and do OnlyFans.
But as she reveals, it was a significant step and not one she took lightly. What had I done that morning when I woke up at 5:30 am? But I did it, and I’ve kept doing it.
When asked if there are any friends and family who disagree, she replies that only one friend wants to delete the photos so she won’t need them anymore.
You can’t do that, she says, but you can’t! You can’t just delete it if you view it as a job and have money coming in. I’ll do it, but I’m not yet ready.
There are “levels” to what you can do on OnlyFans, and Lauren explains that her content will always be on the lighter side of the scale.
You can be quite tame or go pornographic. I have a smaller fan base, a higher price, and a lower income. Nothing will be damaged by it. Not that it matters.
“Far play to people like Lilly Phillips, she earns like £800k a month. You’ve got to have some guts to do that – I’m all for it. But I’m not that. I just want people to know I’m still that girl from The Only Way Is Essex – but it’s great. I enjoy it, and it makes me feel good. It’s a confidence thing too. It makes me feel sexy”
“Listen, I used to post loads of pictures on Instagram and videos that were quite sexy anyway, so I might as well do it on OnlyFans!”
When she meets Olivia Attwood on the ITV2 show, she tells her: “I’ve been offered 150 grand for the night, that’s another whole world. Never. Not being wrong, it’s hard to turn down but I couldn’t. I can’t even sleep with a guy in real life.”
Lauren revealed that she does charge a fee of £6,500 for custom requests.
