Before the seventh Road Edition of Lagos Autofest 2025 Race, the Lagos State government has announced that it will temporarily divert traffic.

On Sunday, December 22, 2025, the race is scheduled.

The Lagos State Government has issued a traffic advisory to effectively manage vehicular movement around Inner Marina, Marina Road, and Kakawa Street, Lagos Island, between 12:00 noon and 7:00 p.m. ahead of the seventh Road Edition of the Lagos Autofest 2025 Race scheduled for Sunday, December 21, 2025.

“A temporary road closure will result from the race’s ending locations, which are Marina Road (UBA), Kakawa Street, Balabina Street, Broad Street, Issah Williams Street, and Broad Street,” according to the organizers.

To prevent access to the main race corridor, it disclosed on Thursday that “to this end, all intersections and junctions from Marina Road (UBA) to Broad Street (Inner Marina) will be blocked with road barriers.”

As traffic management organizations like the Lagos State Management Authority (LASTMA), the Nigerian Police Force, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), and the Lagos State Neighbourhood Corps would be present to control vehicular movement along the affected roads, the state government urged drivers to have patience.
