After tens of thousands of fans canceled Kylie Minogue’s barnstorming London concert this week, the audience was shocked. The Aussie pop queen has been promoting her album Tension on international tours since February, and on May 26 and 27, she celebrated in the capital with a glittery party.

Kylie has performed in her home country of Thailand, Japan, Taiwan, and North America this year, and all of her shows have received positive reviews. Nothing could have prepared her for the agitated behavior that had taken hold of the 20, 000-strong crowd inside the O2 Arena by the time she arrived in London.

The Padam Padam pop titan was brought to tears as she performed a medley of her classic and contemporary hits when the audience and her backing singers abruptly ended the performance. Everyone sang “Happy Birthday” to Kylie out of the blue on May 28 in honor of her turning 57 years old, the day after her final London performance.

The pop legend was seen touching her chest and smiling with amazement as her fans stopped the show and paying tribute to her, some of whom came from as far away as Taiwan and Brazil, as seen in a video posted on her social media account.

Kylie was watching rehearsing for her concert inside the venue when her crew brought in a cake and sang “Aussie birthday to you” to the tune of “Happy Birthday” in a video that was captioned “We hope you had the best birthday queen.”
