About five people, including a couple and their young daughter, were hurt by an explosion that occurred on Thursday night in Offa, Kwara State, injuring several of the structures.

Along the Offa-Ijagbo road, a sad incident took place.

A landlady whose home was damaged claims that the incident took place around 10 pm when she began to hear an unusual humming noise that later caused the object to fall onto her building.

“I’m not certain what exactly happened,” she said. The ground was landed by something. Victoria Macharty, the woman, has no words for it, “I can’t really describe it.”

They arrived this morning and picked up the object, they said. A small box and pieces of iron were present, along with another item that resembled rims.

Nobody would pick anything because we stayed here and prevented anyone from entering. The local government’s chairman arrived this morning with what was being billed as an anti-bomb unit, and they packed the items.

She listed the damage that included “the fence, the house, and two windows.”

Four adjacent buildings were seriously damaged, according to another eyewitness who was speaking against the camera. ‎‎‎

Olatunji Sulaiman, the head of the Offa Local Government Area (LGA), dissipated community members’ concerns while assessing the damages.

Due to military personnel visiting and being unsure of the precise source of the bomb, Sulaiman explained that it is not a bomb.

The LGA boss said that “only a few homes were affected, and the situation has been resolved.”

Because investigations are ongoing, we are unable to yet disclose what exactly happened. We will be able to identify the specific events that occurred following the examination and report.

However, we want to assure the public that this wasn’t a plane crash or bomb explosion. An investigation is being conducted into the incident. Thankfully, there were no injuries and the situation was calm.
