Kourtney Kardashian gave fans a glimpse into her idyllic English escape this summer and described one destination as just like a ‘fairytale.’ The reality star, 46, shared her thoughts in a recent Instagram post that offered snapshots of quaint cottages, duck-filled waters, and a cosy wooden cabin.

While you might be picturing Cornwall, the Yorkshire Dales or even the New Forest, it was actually the Cotswolds that stole Kourtney’s heart. “Dreamy storybook fairytale enchantment,” she wrote about her trip back in July.

Spanning nearly 800 square miles, the Cotswolds is a particularly stunning region that runs through several counties, including Gloucestershire, Warwickshire and Oxfordshire. It is renowned for its classic British market towns, historic walking trails, and honey-colored cottages, making it an ideal tourist destination.

Kourtney, who rose to fame on Keeping Up with the Kardashians, didn’t quite delve into the destinations she visited during her stay in the area. However, the Oxford Mail previously claimed that Gloucestershire’s Stow-on-the-Wold was featured, in addition to Estelle Manor near Witney.

Stow-on-the-Wold is among the Cotswolds’ cosy towns and is often considered an area of outstanding natural beauty. It’s less than two hours from London by train and offers frequent markets, an array of traditional tea rooms and the stunning St. Edward’s Church.

Local sources claim the doors of this church may have even inspired J.R.R. Tolkien’s Doors of Durin, the west gate of Moria shown in The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring.

Beyond that, Stow-on-the-Wold is only a 40-minute drive from Shakespeare’s birthplace and Warwick’s historic Warwick Castle.

Kourtney’s other reported stop-off at Estelle Manor is approximately 40 minutes by car from Stow-on-the-Wold, too. Estelle Manor is an award-winning country house hotel on an 85-acre Oxfordshire estate.

It is home to Mayfair’s private members’ club Maison Estelle, which is surrounded by more than 3, 000 acres of parkland.

Another person remarked, “You should go to Stoke Luv, really loveleh there xoxo.”
