Kon Knueppel, a rookie Charlotte Hornets player, lost to the Cleveland Cavaliers 139-132, becoming the fastest player to make 100 three-pointers in the NBA.

The 20-year-old, who was the fourth pick overall in the 2025 draft, scored the only goal in Rocket Arena’s first quarter and reached the milestone with just 29 games remaining.

Lauri Markkanen, a Utah Jazz player for the Chicago Bulls, held the previous record of 41 games in 2017-18.

Knueppel finished with 20 points from his nine three-point attempts against the Cavaliers, while LaMelo Ball added 23 and Brandon Miller added 20.

However, the Cavaliers had only 30 points, with DeAndre Hunter having 27 and Darius Garland having 10 assists.
