Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Daniel Anidugbe, known as Kizz Daniel, has successfully reclaimed the master rights to his debut album, ‘New Era,’ from his former record label, G-Worldwide.
The singer shared the development on Monday via his official X handle, revealing that he has also retrieved the masters of two of his early hit singles, ‘Yeba’ and ‘Sofa.’
“From long nights in the studio to several meditations, finally, I now own every song on the New Era album (2016) + Yeba & Sofa (singles). I got my masters back. This means more than words can explain. Thank you for riding with me. #NewEra #MyCatalog #Grateful,” Kizz Daniel wrote.

‘New Era‘ was released on 14 May 2016 under G-Worldwide Entertainment. It featured breakout tracks such as “Woju,” “Laye,” and “Mama,” which helped establish the singer’s place in the Nigerian music scene.
In November 2017, Kizz Daniel announced his departure from G-Worldwide following contractual disputes and legal battles.
The case was what led the singer to change his name in 2018 from ‘Kiss Daniel’ to his current name, ‘Kizz Daniel.’
He went on to establish his label, Flyboy I.N.C., and was subsequently sued by G-Worldwide’s founder, Emperor Geezy. The legal battle was eventually resolved in his favour.
