The Ayrshire club can remain in the Scottish Premiership thanks to new manager Neil McCann and assistant Billy Dodds.
The pair’s contracts expire in 2028, according to their agreement.
Stuart Kettlewell was fired after winning six games in a row under the leadership of the Dundee and Inverness Caledonian Thistle. Kris Doolan, the under-19s coach, managed one point in Kilmarnock’s previous four games.
Livingston will host the Rugby Park side on Saturday (15:00 GMT) because they are second-bottom in the Scottish Premiership. With a game in hand, Luivi are four points behind.

We can be certain that Neil and Billy possess the character, experience, and character necessary to advance Kilmarnock Football Club following a thorough evaluation.
We have complete confidence in their ability to carry out the necessary steps to keep this club in contention for the Scottish Premiership.
Dodds and McCann previously collaborated as Rangers’ interim management team last year. Additionally, Dodds previously served as an assistant at Ross County from 2014 to 2016 while also serving as Inverness’s head.
Both Neil and Billy are well-versed in the Scottish League, are familiar with its demands, and have a vision that is in line with the club’s culture and values.
McCann’s choice is “not fans’ choice, but deserves chance,” according to analysis.
Neil McCann has just been named as the new manager, and unlike Stuart Kettlewell, he was not the fan’s choice.
Every new manager deserves a chance, and Killie supporters will give them, despite our waning patience.
If we want to stay up, we need a few freshmen, and we need decent quality rather than some rookies.
A win at Livingston on Saturday would be the perfect ending, despite the new management team’s never-easy situation there.
With the exception of last weekend when Hibs abruptly dropped out of second gear to stow us off, Kris Doolan’s interim reign came to an end without a victory.
We had a 15-minute break in the second half that seemed to indicate we might have something to offer, but our lack of quality and low confidence are evident throughout.
It’s sad that The Traitors ends up being your Saturday highlight because I’ve been a Killie fan since JFK was shot.
Fan opinion on “Good choice” or “cheap appointment”
Brett: I’m really pleased that Neil McCann and Billy Dodds have been appointed because they both have a lot of knowledge of the Scottish Premiership and take their game seriously. Relatively speaking, we would have had a difficult time obtaining a better duo.
Adam, I was hoping Robbie Neilson would come in. Can McCann walk the walk, but I’m willing to give him a chance? Our budget appears a little clingy from Killie, but it’s obvious that our money is just ballooning and shrinking day by day.
Jim: Both of you are thoroughly knowledgeable about the Scottish game. My only concern is that both of the previous management positions did not ignite the heather. Let’s face it, Kettlewell has now been subject to damage limitation. In the January window, see if we can improve our players.
Amy: The club has once more fallen for a good talker, and it was a cheap appointment. I’m worried for our future because he lacks the managerial training. Both running a sinking football team and speaking well on the Sportscene couch are very different things.
