Khloé Kardashian breaks silence on Thanksgiving rift with Tokyo Toni

Khloé Kardashian has confirmed she hasn’t been in touch with her niece Dream Kardashian’s grandmother, Tokyo Toni, since their fallout at Thanksgiving.

Tokyo Toni (real name Shalana Hunter) is Blac Chyna’s mother. Blac Chyna (real name Angela White) and Khloé’s brother, Rob Kardashian, had their daughter, Dream, in 2016 before splitting in 2017. In November 2024, Khloé and Toni became involved in a public disagreement over their Thanksgiving activities.

Toni shared videos of herself feeding homeless individuals during the holiday. In contrast, Khloé posted images of her family’s lavish Thanksgiving celebration, which included her mother, Kris Jenner, and her children, True and Tatum. A social media user drew attention to the differences between the two celebrations, suggesting that Tokyo Toni’s charitable actions contrasted with the Kardashian family’s opulent festivities.

Khloé responded by referencing a Bible verse about performing good deeds privately, implying that public displays of charity might be done for personal recognition. This comment led to a back-and-forth between Khloé and Tokyo Toni, with each defending their approach to the holiday and charitable giving. At the time, Khloe penned: “Watch out! ‘ Don’t do your good deeds publicly, to be admired by others, for you will lose the reward from your Father in heaven ‘ Matthew 6: 1-4. Just because we don’t post about it, doesn’t mean we aren’t doing it my love. Sending you love and blessings”.

Khloe has since addressed the ongoing tension in a comment on The Shade Room’s Instagram post, after Toni claimed Khloé had apologised to her. Tokyo had mentioned in a livestream: “Khloé called me. She apologised. I talked to Kris]Jenner]. I talked to all them hoes and I don’t give a f*** who knows. I ain’t mad at them no more”. Khloé quickly denied this, stating they hadn’t spoken in months, and wrote: “I’m not sure who you spoke to, but it wasn’t me or anyone from my family. Have a blessed day”!

Back in 2016, Toni lashed out at the Kardashians as she spoke out about them banning her daughter, who was with Rob at the time, from taking the family name. Chyna, who was trying to trademark the name Angela Renee Kardashian – her birth name, but with a Kardashian surname add-on, faced opposition from her future sister-in-laws. It was revealed at the time that all three sisters filed documents which claim they will “suffer damage including irreparable injury to their reputation and goodwill” if Chyna gets her hands on the Kardashian name.

They also claimed that Chyna – who was set to marry Rob Kardashian in 2017 – was “deliberately seeking to profit from the goodwill and popularity” from their famous surname. Toni, posted a picture of Chyna on Instagram with a lengthy rant on how she felt about the snub – explaining: “You just can’t stop what God has plans for. My mini me is the next baddest thing to me HANDS DOWN- From Blacchyna to soon- to- be Angela Renee Kardashian mother of Dream Kardashian and Mr. King Cairo Stevenson”.
