Heidi, the daughter of Kerry Katona, concurred with Brooklyn in the Beckham-Beckham feud, claiming that he had a “different childhood.” Heidi also warned that having famous parents puts pressure on their children.

Kerry Katona’s daughter, Heidi, has chosen her side in the Beckham family feud after revealing what it’s really like to be the child of famous parents.

The Beckham family drama has captured the nation after Brooklyn posted an explosive statement to Instagram on Monday. In it, he claimed his parents were “controlling” and valued public shows of unity over everything else. He accused them of putting “Brand Beckham” first and spreading “countless lies” to the media.

Though Heidi has a good relationship with her mother, and maintained that Kerry’s parenting is “no different to other mums”, she shared that she “sympathised” with Brooklyn, as she knew how much pressure there was in being the child of someone famous.

Talking on Good Morning Britain, she said: “I definitely sympathise because along with normal teenage pressures you have, on top of it, everyone in the world is watching you. You have that added pressure. It will get to some people and it can upset you feeling like everyone is watching you and you can’t make a mistake because it doesn’t just reflect badly on you, it reflects badly on your parents. So I can 100% sympathise.”

She added that having parents who discuss their families online made their early years “difficult to navigate,” because you can’t stay out of something.

Our parents chose this career path, she said, not because I didn’t choose to be born into this life, he didn’t choose it. It’s challenging to navigate because it’s simpler to say than to do. You can avoid it, but if your parents discuss their families on social media, you will always find yourself there.

She stated that she had no idea how her early years would differ from others’, but added that she was “quite normal” and didn’t care whether Brooklyn had a “normal childhood.” She asserted that no one else’s childhoods have been different for me. Although I’ve had more experiences and opportunities, I still believe I’m fairly normal.

Heidi acknowledged that there are times when they struggle to agree on what should and can’t be posted when asked whether or not she and her mother use social media.

She always takes pictures, and I think the world should see it, but she says she thinks everyone else is beautiful, and we have some heated exchanges about it, Heidi said. But other mothers are just as different from me. Every mother posts about her kids on Facebook, but mine only has a large number of viewers.

Brooklyn Beckham has accused his mother, Victoria, of more than posting a “horrible” picture of him to social media. His bombshell accusations claimed that she called him “evil” during wedding preparation for placing his grandmother and Nicola’s at the top table, that she tried to “ruin” his relationship with his wife and “hijacked” the first dance.

He claimed that he was scheduled to have his first dance with Nicola Peltz at their wedding but was surprised when Marc Anthony called him to the stage to dance with Victoria instead. He then added that Victoria left him “uncomfortable and humiliated” by “dancing very inappropriately on me”.
