As she recalls one uncomfortable moment while he was married to jungle star Vogue Williams, Kristen Katona recalls her memories of her ex-husband Brian McFadden.
Kerry Katona broke her silence as ex-husband, Brian McFadden’s former wife Vogue Williams made her I’m A Celeb debut last week. The former Atomic Kitten star, who opened up about her dealings with the Irish TV star as Vogue joined the I’m A Celeb camp as a latecomer along with Celebs Go Dating receptionist Tom Read Wilson, slammed the mum-of-three in her latest column.
She recalled an awkward fleeting moment between the two women as Westlife star Brian would arrive at Kerry’s home to pick up the kids they share together – Molly, now 23, and Lily, 22. She said: “I remember her waving at me from the car when Brian picked up the kids, she never made any particular effort to come and say hi to me – which I think is important as a stepmum.”

Opening up further on their relationship when Westlife singer Brian was with Vogue – who is now married to former Made In Chelsea star Spencer Matthews, with whom she shares three children, she went on to say simply, “I never ‘officially’ met Vogue. But good luck to her.”
From September 2, 2012 until their divorce was finalized in 2017, Vogue and Brian, who wed fiancee Danielle Parker, had no children.
Kerry continued to express her disappointment with Vogue despite her strong opinions of Molly and Lily as her stepmum, and praised fellow newcomer Tom, 39, for his outward-disapproval of what the show might have to say about her ex-husband.
She talks about Brian around the campfire, but I’m not bothered because we were together twenty years ago, which is old news. Tom Read Wilson is the sweetest, kindest person I’ve ever known, and I love him.
Kerry also admitted that she believes the former model could “do well” in the face of the unknown given the challenges that confront her. She claimed she “did not know her personally.”
Kerry has previously criticized Vogue, but this is not the first time. Vogue’s comments about Brian, 45, who has a 4-year-old daughter Ruby and his wife Danielle sparked the first episode.
In 2020, Kerry defended her Irish ex in her OK! column, after Vogue raised eyebrows by confessing that her marriage to Brian made her ‘sick in my mouth’.
A clearly irate Kerry wrote in her column at the time, “I have children with the man so I’d never slam him like that,” and her comment made me feel a little depressed for my daughters [Lilly and Sue]
She continued, “She shouldn’t diss him, but I get where Vogue’s coming from: none of us are ever proud of our exes.” No one would know who she is today without Vogue having met Brian.
Meanwhile, hit podcaster Vogue, 40, has been getting her teeth into jungle life. She made her bikini debut Down Under on Friday night’s episode, revealing a ripped-six pack as she donned a pale Beach Cafe bikini as she took a dip in the creek.
And fans were swift to praise her incredible figure. One wrote, ‘Vogue Williams six pack is genuinely inspiring’, ‘Vogue williams is #fit’. But others claimed she was ‘fishing for compliments’ after admitting to comedian Ruby Wax that she felt ‘so ugly’.
However, some fans were left unimpressed and accused the star, who previously confessed that she works out five days a week, of ‘fishing for compliments’ as she admitted to Ruby Wax that she felt ‘so ugly’.
