Kelley Mack, the star of The Walking Dead, passed away at the age of 33 after receiving a rare form of cancer. The actress’s most notable role was that of Addy in the well-known zombie drama.
Our dear Kelley’s passing was announced in a post on her Instagram page, which read, “It is with indelible sadness that we are announcing the passing of our dear. We all eventually have to travel, and this bright, fervent light has made its way to the beyond.
With the presence of her devoted aunt Karen and loving mother Kristen, Kelley passed away peacefully on Saturday evening. Katie has already introduced various butterflies to many of her close friends. She will be missed dearly by so many that words cannot express.
Kelley previously disclosed that she had been given a difficult cancer diagnosis in September and was receiving aggressive treatment as a result. Kelly also appeared in the 2018 episodes of 9-1-1, Chicago Med, and Mr. Manhattan on TV. She previously played Addy in five episodes of The Walking Dead.
The young actress, who also starred alongside Harry Shum Jr. of Glee and Chris Sullivan of This Is Us, also appeared in the 2021 horror film Broadcast Signal Intrusion. Parker Mack, a co-star in Ouija: Origin of Evil, Faking It, and Divergent, is her brother.
Rosa Robson, Joe Thomas, and Rosa Robson, the Inbetweeners’ star, recently shared the screen with Kelley in the recent Universal film. Kelly, who had finished her proton radiation treatment and was recovering from cancer earlier in the year, announced in March that she was in physical therapy.
Overall, this journey hasn’t been easy, but things are improving. When you’re in the thick of it, improvements are difficult to discern. She wrote on Instagram at the time, “Thank you again and again for the prayers and support.”
