Fraser Forster, a former Tottenham and Celtic goalkeeper, has been signed by Bournemouth for a six-month contract.
Due to Will Dennis’ injury, the 37-year-old joins Vitality Stadium as the backup to Djordje Petrovic, who won first-choice.
Since leaving Spurs last summer with his contract expiring, Forster has been a free agent. He won his final six English caps in 2016.
He said, “The opportunity came up, and I couldn’t refuse it,” he said.
“I’m utterly delighted. Although it has already happened a little quickly, I’m happy to be there and be a part of it.
I’m eager to support the team and the squad and make my best contribution the rest of the season.
You can clearly see the club’s direction and ambition, and I found that to be very appealing.
Arsenal will host Bournemouth in the Premier League on Saturday, with Forster expected to feature as a substitute after a winless run that has stretched to 10 top-flight games since October 26.
