As rescue efforts continue in the state’s private rice mill after an industrial accident at a private rice mill, the Kebbi State Police Command confirms the death of two employees.
Following the partial collapse of the rice parboiling section of the mill, the police commissioner, Bello Sani, visited the rice production facility in Birnin Kebbi to review the ongoing rescue and security operations.

Police officers and emergency responders gave the Commissioner updates during the visit.
He praised the Police, the State and Federal Fire Services, as well as other relevant organizations who have supported rescue operations and remained on site since the incident.
Two people who had previously been evacuated were later confirmed dead by medical personnel at the time of the visit.
With ongoing rescue efforts, four injured victims are still trapped while one has been treated and discharged.

In the collapse of the Kebbi Rice Mill, one person died and five were trapped.
After the rescue phase, the Commissioner reassured the public that adequate security has been put in place and that a thorough investigation will follow.
