Yahuza Getso, a security, intelligence, and investigation expert, attributes the failure of the authorities to respond to intelligence to the attack by bandits at the Government Girls Comprehensive Senior Secondary School (GGCSS) in Maga, Kebbi State.

Getso claimed that the authorities’ failure to act on information obtained prior to the attack that resulted in the abduction of 26 schoolgirls was sabotage.

According to sources, Malam Hassan Makuku, the school’s vice principal, was killed before the attackers kidnapped several schoolgirls.

He stated on Wednesday on The Morning Brief on Channels Television that the Kebbi incident was a total compromise.

It’s total negligence, they claim. Because I’m talking to you, I’ve learned that some local governments are in danger of a significant attack by bandits, which is total sabotage against the state.

“I have communicated information to the highest levels of authority, intelligence, operational team, the hierarchy in the state of Kebbi, sorry, and the hierarchy in Niger, Abuja, and the hierarchy at various levels.

“But still, after three hours, I still follow up: “These guys are still coordinating themselves.” These guys are in a fantastic location.

There was also a military or whatever security inside the school, but they left, if it’s any good. The bandits arrived within a short time after they left, “.

Calls to a Military Hierarchy

Getso also asserted that he repeatedly called the military hierarchies during the attack without receiving a response.

He claimed that this does not foster Nigerians’ confidence in the government.

“And I called the hierarchies several times as the attack was taking place. He claimed that he made several calls while the bandits were engaged in the activity if the hierarchies were watching him.

“But no one has yet responded to my call that I’m talking to and who asked, “Why are you calling at this hour?”

And they are aware that there must be something very serious whenever I call them in these circumstances, in strange circumstances.

How can you convince Nigerians that the government is serious? It is a total system failure. The issue is ours. We have the solution, he continued, but we purposefully avoided seeing it.

He added that Nigerian bandits account for 99.9% of the country’s population.

Authorities’ “Deliberate” Inaction

Getso questioned whether the authorities’ inaction on the intelligence he provided was intentional; he responded, “Well, as far as I’m concerned, it is deliberate because refusing to take my intelligence is a deliberate action. There are frequently distress call numbers that have been circulated by DSS, police, military, and other agencies.

Anyone who called and provided intelligence, if not immediately, is a deliberate sabotage, according to the statement.

Vice Principal Malam Hassan Makuku, who was reportedly killed trying to stop the bandits from abducting the girls, was killed in the attack on the Kebbi school.

During the attack, Makuku, the vice principal, allegedly was shot while attempting to protect the students.

A combined tactical team was sent to search the forest on Monday in a bid to save the girls, according to the police.

Bola Tinubu, the president, expressed regret for the attack and offered condolences to the victims’ families.
