According to reports, Katie Slaton, a singer-songwriter who weighs 1000 pounds, passed away at the age of 37. Fans of the news sent condolences to the family. It comes as a result of her being informed that she has a Stage 4 gastric adenocarcinoma diagnosis a few months ago.
Katie was made known to viewers as the weight-loss cousin of Tammy and Amy Slaton, whose TLC program focused on their respective endeavors. Amanda Halterman, Tammy’s sister, has just learned that Katie, their cousin, passed away earlier this week.
I have to post this, Amanda wrote on Instagram yesterday, “with a completely crushed heart and spirit.” Yesterday, my little cousin and I sat down at Jesus’ feet. She was a force to reckon with and showed a heartfelt, accepting love. She was my best friend and the life of the [party].
“I am aware that your grandparents and friends welcomed you home. Please pray for my aunt, uncle, cousins, but most of all, for Natalie’s strength and the birth of the children. Please pray for all of her lovers. Thank you to everyone who has shown support for her. #cancerscks. “
Fans expressed condolences in the comments section. One person responded to the news by saying, “Your family, friends, and I feel the same way. Another person prayed, “Praying that the Lord holds you all close at this time.”
Someone else emailed “Sending you all strength and peace in the present.” I’m so sorry for both of you. I’m so sorry for your loss, Amanda, and a fourth person commented on the post. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
Amanda had posted a message to her followers on the platform asking them to pray for the family the day before the news was made. She shared a photo of Katie with her cousin, and she stated in the caption that followed that her loved ones were still there to support her.
Amanda wrote in a post on Monday that she wanted to “Please whisper a prayer for our family as we continue to support] Katie.” She wrote, “I am so grateful to be allowed to stand by your side,” and that is how she concluded.

Katie, who appeared on a number of the show’s episodes, was revealed earlier this year to have been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. Katie had gastric adenocarcinoma, which the outlet described as an aggressive form of stomach cancer, according to the Daily Mail.
In January, Katie created a GoFundMe page. Tammy was one of the people who at the time promoted the fundraising initiative, and she instructed supporters to pray for their loved ones if they couldn’t donate.
She wrote to her followers, “Y’all, I’m so sorry I’m asking for a big favor like this, but [it] would greatly help my cousin. Tammy continued, “She has been on my show, but this is something new because our family just learned about her cancer.”
The reality TV star suggested that those who couldn’t donate instead pray, adding that the family would be “disappointed” in the situation. Any act of kindness is and will be greatly appreciated, thanks, and Tammy added that I have donated myself before anyone asks if I’ve done so earlier this year.
