Ex glamour model Katie Price has opened up about her decision to ban mirrors from her home, despite her extensive history with cosmetic surgery.
The 45 year old former glamour model, who recently flew to Turkey for a facelift and ear pinning procedure, confessed that she avoids looking at herself in the mirror since moving into her new West Sussex abode.
She admitted: “I don’t like looking at myself. I don’t think I’m pretty, I certainly don’t think I’m beautiful. I look at old photos of myself and think: ‘Urrrgh!”
Katie, who is believed to have undergone at least 17 breast augmentations, added to The Sun: “I’m not scared of ageing – although I don’t think I will make it to be an old lady. And for the first time, I am happy with my face. No more facial surgery – well, not unless I make it to 70.”
Last month, Katie returned to Turkey for several ‘tweaks’ to her sixth £10,000 facelift, including new pinned back ears. An insider told OK!, “Katie’s had lots of surgeries so she tends to play them down, but they’re not all minor. She has to undergo various types of anaesthesia and she’s doing it in a foreign country, far away from home.”
The star recently revealed, showing off her newly pinned back ears following another round of cosmetic surgery in Turkey. Before going under the knife, Katie admitted: “From my last surgery, there are just a few little bits that I want tweaking. Well, they need tweaking. So here I am getting ready. That’s the worst bit for me, the needle. The needle’s done so now I can relax.”
This comes after Katie addressed her dramatic weight loss, reassuring her followers that she is at her natural weight after gaining it during IVF treatment – this follows recent photos that sparked concern among fans. The TV personality has been questioned by fans about whether she has been using weight loss injections or similar to achieve her new look.

However, Katie insists that she has ‘shrunk back’ to her ‘natural’ size after gaining weight during IVF and being inactive due to a broken foot. Speaking on Rob Moore’s Disruptors podcast, Katie denied using any form of weight loss injection or drug to shed pounds. She explained: “So people have said I’ve lost loads of weight. Now there’s a programme coming out in January, my IVF journey. Anyone you know who’s had IVF, you put on weight. I had three IVFs the past 15 months. They all failed. It started from when I broke my feet. They said I’d never run again. So I couldn’t run, wasn’t exercising, couldn’t ride my horses, so basically, I was in a wheelchair for 10 months.”
“Perhaps that explains all the surgery – in all the therapy I’ve had, one thing that I haven’t stemmed down the line of is, ‘Why do I feel I need to have surgery? ‘ There must be some-thing happened to make me not like the way I look. They said I couldn’t walk again, this all happened.” Katie explained, “Around the time of COVID, you’re bound to put on weight because you’re not moving about. Then I had to learn to walk again, but slowly, I still can’t run now, because I’ve got screws in my feet.”
She continued, “Then I did IVF, pumped all my stuff, and it takes ages for it to get back out your body.
“But I say to people, if you look at old pictures of me, even after I’ve had babies, I just shrink back. I’ve always been tiny, and I think because the past sort of three years, I’ve been bigger, but they’re the reasons why, right? Now I’ve gone like back, now the IVF that’s all come out, and I’m more active because I could do more because of my feet, and I’m horse riding again, then naturally, iIm going back athletic again.”
