Katie Price’s ex-husband, Kieran Hayler, was charged with three counts of rape and one of sexual assault against a 13-year-old girl
Katie Price reportedly told fans she was ‘ still in shock ‘ after Kieran Hayler was charged with three counts of rape and one of sexual assault against a girl who was 13 years old at the time the offences were alleged to have taken place.
The personal trainer, who has strenuously denied the claims made against him, is alleged to have committed the offences between June and October 2016. At that time, he was still married to former glamour model Price. The alleged victim is not a member of Hayler or Price’s extended families.
Hayler will be appearing at Crawley Magistrates Court on November 19.
According to The Sun, Katie touched upon the situation while on stage in Swansea on her nationwide theatre tour on Monday night before the charges came to light.
“The thing that is coming out tonight…I’m still in shock. I could have been like, ‘ F**k it, I’m not going to do this show with that coming out. But I’m professional and I’m doing it”, she said.
Sussex Police said in a statement last night: “We can confirm Kieran Hayler, 38, of Northchapel in West Sussex has been charged with three counts of rape and one count of sexual assault against a 13-year-old girl.
” The offences are alleged to have occurred at an address in West Sussex between June 1 and October 13, 2016. Hayler remains released under investigation and is due to appear before Crawley magistrates ‘ court on November 19. “
It continued:” The girl, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has received support from specially trained officers as our enquiries continue. “
Hayler has not commented, but a legal representative denied the allegations on his behalf. They said:” Kieran Hayler strongly denies the allegations made against him in its entirety.
Mr. Hayler is fully engaged, has cooperated with the police throughout the investigation, and will continue to do so. He anticipates that his name will be cleared, believing in the court system.
Price’s representatives have been contacted for comment by The Mirror.
