Reality TV star Katie Price gave her mother, Amy, a thoughtful Christmas gift that made her cry of joy. Amy is battling a terminal lung condition known as IPF.
Katie Price reduced fans to tears as she presented her mother with a Christmas gift that granted her a “new lease of life”. The reality star, 47, has always been close to her 73-year-old mother, Amy, who has featured on her TV shows and joined her in interviews.
Amy’s health has deteriorated in recent years as a result of her revealing in 2017 that she had been diagnosed with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF), a terminal lung condition that makes the lung tissue thicken and scar and make it difficult to breathe. She now struggles with mobility almost ten years later.
Katie took to YouTube to share a highlights reel from her time during the holiday season following the 2025 Christmas celebrations. Additionally, she revealed that she had given her mother a mobility scooter to aid her with transportation during her coverage of Christmas.

The footage showed Katie giving her mum a driving lesson and showing her how to drive forward and backwards on the mobility scooter. While Amy was worried about what to do if she was driving along and someone suddenly pulled out in front of her, the OnlyFans star assured her mum that if she took her foot off the pedal, the machine would stop.
Amy beamed, “Yes, I do, of course I do,” when asked if she liked the present. The scooter’s lights made her wowed, and Katie explained that she had also purchased some furry gloves to keep her hands warm while driving. The grandmother thanked Katie for the gift, and as she became overcome with emotion, she began to cry.
Amy said, “I’m going to have some fun on this,” in emotional scenes. It seems to “open up,” I believe. She ran to Katie’s aid as she tried to find the words, and she cried once more. The proud grandmother nodded as Katie, a mother-of-five, asked her mother if she thought the new wheels would “give her a new lease of life” and give her “more freedom” when she wrapped her arms around her.
Katie addressed the audience, saying, “Everyone has been enjoying this Christmas.” The children in total. JJ. And mother is the best person who deserves this, who is happier, and who deserves it. She has a new life. They are joyful tears. And I’m pleased that she has more self-control. She can go to the beach in the summer. On a full tank, it can travel 12 and a half miles.
Fans of Katie’s fans flooded the comments section of her YouTube page to let her know how moved they were by the touching images. Some fans were even torn to tears by the entertaining footage, which they thought had a more tender side to the TV star.
One person wrote, “I know how your mother feels, so I made you cry.” Another person expressed her admiration for Katie because of her kind, encouraging side.
Another fan wrote, “When I saw your mother’s happy tears, I wept.” Where your mother is, where your family home is, doesn’t matter how old you are, whether you’re an adult or an adult, you can feel secure and content. You all appear stunning in a group.
Amy had a lung transplant and is still fighting IPF, according to Katie’s explanation from back in March. The star explained in a podcast update to her fans that at the time that she felt “because people have to understand what my mum has gone through because her brain is still so active.” She is frustrated because she is unable to perform the tasks she once did.
Because I am a patient person, she said, “We’re taking your wheelchair because I’m not taking an hour,” but when my mother teases me and says let’s go look at the Isle of Wight shops, shall I take my walker or wheelchair?
Amy then addressed the discussion by saying, “I’m supposed to walk to help myself, so it’s not doing me any good.” The grandmother continued to explain how optimistic she is that she will be able to walk once more by summer.
