Kate Price acknowledges that, despite having some happy memories of her union with Peter Andre, she has endured almost 20 years of suffering as a result of their split.
Katie Price has opened up about the breakdown of her marriage to Peter Andre – but insists there are “happy memories”. The former glamour model and telly star was joined by her friend Kerry Katona for the opening night of their joint tour at Marine Hall in Fleetwood tonight, where the friends of more than two decades spoke openly about their lives.
On their tour, Price, 47, and Katona, 45, will stop in cities like New Brighton, Ellsmere Port, Stockport, and London. Talk soon turned to their ex-husbands during the opening night.
It comes after Katie found herself under fire from her first husband, Peter, who issued a blistering statement as he vowed that things ought to stop. Taking to Instagram, Andre said he would be setting the record straight following “repeated lies” from Price and her family, throughout which he had stayed silent.
He continued, “The most recent comments about the welfare and living conditions of my children compel me to set the record straight.” Junior and Princess were placed with me until they were adults in 2018 for well-known reasons and for their safety.
The family courts issued a legally binding order to carry out this agreement in 2019. Out of respect for my children, I’ve never made this public.
“My ex-wife made false claims in court cases that were publicly documented in 2011 and 2015.” She was also required to apologize to me and my management and pay substantial damages and legal costs. Today, the same lies are being made. Unfortunately, I haven’t yet addressed any of the lies and false accusations I have heard. In the upcoming months, those will now be addressed.
Kerry made a joke about how sorry she had placed Katie and Peter on I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! Due to his pop career, Peter already had a management team after they left the jungle, according to Katie.
She continued, “Well, he had a manager,” adding, “I needed to be careful with how I word things now because I wanted to be with Pete and Pete wanted to be with me.” Kerry interrupted, saying, “I’ll say it. She ultimately managed me, Pete, and… We were three in the marriage.
Katie continued: “There are memories. They were very good memories. I’ve suffered 16 years cause of it, from when I split up I’ve had 16 years of hell. But I’m glad now that the truth is coming out on social media and people are seeing.” An audience member told the Mirror: “Kerry jumped in joking saying ‘I’ll say it’ when Katie seemed hesitant to talk candidly due to legal concerns. There was a huge wave of support for her when she did open up. Say what you like about Katie but she has a fierce support base.”
This week, Katie found herself at Number Two on the Official Download Charts with her 2017 track, I Got U, with sources claiming it was “revenge” after a turbulent time. A source told us that the move had left Katie “on top of the world.”

She has been so hurt and feels like she has always been cast as the bad guy, so this has really helped her when she needed it most, she said. “She won’t go quietly where the haters are concerned.”
