Katie Price reportedly reportedly grew enthralled when she wed Peter Andre because of how easily she managed to reportedly crush Victoria Beckham, her arch-nemesis, in the process.
It’s 20 years this month since Katie Price and Peter Andre got secretly engaged after a lot of heavy petting in the Australian outback.
The former It couple met on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here in 2004 and went on to tie the knot in September 2005 before welcoming son Junior, 19, and daughter Princess, 17.
Unfortunately, their split in 2009 resulted in one briefing being biased against the other. Katie also bravely battled Peter in her battle, but she also fought bravely in other battles.
The headlines of the decade were also full of talk of her infamous feud with Victoria Beckham, who was then a Spice Girl. Their beef first started cooking in 2000 when Katie got jealous about Victoria’s collaboration with her then-boyfriend, Dane Bowers.
And the following year it got even more bitter when Katie claimed Posh and her mate sang Who Let The Dogs Out at her in Manchester United’s players’ lounge.
Victoria upped the ante by branding Katie ‘vile’ on national TV, before her nemesis sniped, “She’s got a great-looking husband, a little boy, and all the money in the world. She hasn’t got the looks, but you can’t have everything.”

But despite Victoria’s short-loved attempt to become a solo star aside, by the time Katie met Peter Andre on I’m A Celebrity, there was no denying that Brand Beckham was packing more of a punch.
However, things changed when Katie and Peter got married and purchased the rights to the wedding in 1999 for almost twice the amount Victoria and David received.
In her book Katie and Peter: Too Much In Love, author Emily Herbert wrote that the cost of their wedding was nearly twice as high as Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas, a few years earlier.
“Even the brightest stars in the Hollywood A-list were no match for Peter Andre and Katie Price.
Given Katie and Victoria’s conflict, and given the couple’s animosity despite Katie’s obnoxious remarks, Katie could be forgiven for feeling a little gleeful, the Beckhams’ wedding had been purchased some years earlier for just £1 million.
There was no lack of extravagant wedding. In a pink Cinderella-style carriage driven by six white horses, Kate saw her arrive at Highclere Castle in Berkshire, also known as Downton Abbey.
She wore a princess-style pink tulle and satin dress by Isabell Kristensen that had an enormous seven-metre train and was not afraid to make a statement.
And her headwear was equally as impressive thanks to her foot-high tiara. Doves were apparently released from the skirt of her enormous gown before she and Peter took their place of thrones covered in pink and lilac flowers.
The Beckhams also spent £500, 000 on their OTT bash at Ireland’s Luttrellstown Castle, where the bride donned a £77, 000 Vera Wang gown and a £25, 000 gold and diamond tiara.
Later, they altered into matching purple ensembles so they could match the carpets, and they baked a cake topped with sword-wielding naked figures.
A single white dove was released after saying “I do,” and a V. B. flag was raised above the castle. D for their then-born sons Brooklyn and David, respectively. Needless to say, neither received a welcome invitation to the other’s big day.
In order to promote Victoria’s 2000 single, Out of My Mind, Katie and Victoria first met as friends while David and Dane were touring the country.
However, Katie claimed that it “changed “him” after splitting up with the Beckhams. Why can’t we emulate Victoria and David, he said? She said, “Like the way they were in love, which I believed we were,”
He simply continued to compare everything. He worked for Victoria, in my opinion, and it seemed strange. He was always leaving with her. Years of barbs followed, with Katie accusing VB of having “horrible teeth.”
Posh’s rep even accused her of changing a flight after learning that she was traveling with Katie, which sparked a rather clumsy response.
Victoria doesn’t get drawn into public tittle-tattle with anyone, let alone her, the spokesman told the Daily Star. It’s not in her typical way. Unfortunately, she’s far too busy being a success in America to worry about this.
