James Middleton, Prince Kate’s younger brother, has always backed his royal sibling, keeping their relationship a secret. And now he’s talking about the state banquet from last night.
The Middleton family stays together, if there is one thing that is certain.
Princess Kate, 43, might be a key player in the Royal Family, with second-to-none star power, but it’s well known that she has always maintained her incredibly close relationship with her own family since marrying into the House of Windsor – including siblings Pippa and James.
While Kate was dressed to the nines for the state banquet thrown in honour of the visiting US President Trump and the First Lady Melania, her brother James was quick to comment when a photo of the future King and Queen was posted on their official social media page.
The captioned image of William and Kate dressed in white-tie, couture attire included emojis of the UK and US flags, “Ready for the state banquet.”

Her younger brother James responded to the glittery photo announcing President Trump’s state visit with a straightforward four-word statement of support.
James used the UK flag emoji to replace the word itself, and James wrote, “Proud to be British.”
With a chic and minimal silk crepe floor-length gown, Kate stole the show at the State Banquet with Phillipa Lepley’s champagne gold lace evening coat.
She paired the hand-embroidered piece with a pearl clutch clutch handbag and pair of gold Aquazurra pumps with a pointed toe and intricate rose and bloom designs throughout.
She chose her favorite Lover’s Knot tiara for the occasion, which is an unusual move for the Princess at such a high-profile event.
During the dinner, President Trump praised Kate, calling her “so radiant, so healthy, and so beautiful,” and apologizing for the event as “really a great honour, thank you.”
James Middleton, 38, has always held his older sister in high regard.
Under the title “Over the years, we have climbed many mountains together,” James wrote in a solo video message to the nation explaining how she had been diagnosed with cancer and was going through a period of recovery that would force her to take a step back from public life. We will climb this one with you, too, as a family.
In a later interview about her cancer diagnosis, James explained how difficult it was for the family and described it as “a challenging time.”
He explained to the Times that “being there for someone is such an important part, and it shouldn’t have to be done on your terms.” I’m not doing it for anything in return, that’s what they’ve got. I’m doing it because I’m in love with you.
And that’s how to truly show love in the simplest way. You can do it in a number of fancy ways, but you should know that it’s just about being there.
James, who was depressed, also faced some challenges in 2017. When the situation became clear and he was in need of assistance, Kate and Pippa made every effort to help their brother.
He asked his family to accompany him in therapy, even though he had suicidal thoughts, and they both agreed.
Some of my therapy sessions were attended by my sisters. They have always supported me during difficult times, and they have also been by my side when times are challenging. “James wrote in an essay about the dark period of his life for which I am forever grateful.
