After tragically losing her husband Derek Draper to complications from coronavirus, Good Morning Britain star Kate Garraway revealed her plans for a romantic life.
Kate Garraway has responded to rumours she’s dating again. Ahead of her appearance in the Celebrity Traitors, the Good Morning Britain star opened up about life after her husband’s tragic death.
Kate was the family’s primary earner and Derek’s husband, Derek, contracted Covid in March 2020, making him his full-time caregiver. Derek passed away a short while later. Kate has since concentrated on raising Darcey and Billy, her two kids.
There’s been a lot speculation about whether or not Kate has gotten back into the dating world but she has now provided un update on her romantic life. She is not dating – she doesn’t feel she can.
Kate responded to a question about dating by saying that she found the rumors about her romantic life to be “hilarious.” Kate told the press, “I don’t have Facebook, but all of my friends tell me there’s a ton of stuff about having a boyfriend there.”
One website stated, “We have everything you need to know about Kate’s new man,” and it did the same on the internet. Ben Shephard’s face and a man who works with me were a natural outcome. It was funny, in my opinion.
She continued, noting that it made her ponder whether or not to try dating once more. I’ve been thinking about it because of this, and to be honest, I don’t think so.

“It’s a weird one, because I wouldn’t like to think I’d spend the rest of my life without love, but also it feels preposterous at the moment to think of being with anyone else.
We spent 21 years living in that environment, which is what Derek and I cherished, and we still do.
Kate continued to say that she would like to date but isn’t sure how to do so. “I kind of wish I was in my 20s, especially now that I look in the mirror with my bottoms!” However, it seems like that socializing was simpler back then. I’m never able to imagine using a dating app. I’m very private.
That time is still a long way off, though. Instead, she wants to concentrate on making new friends. I’m going to start drinking with my friends and trying to live a social life that’s not about being a mummy. Simply put, I don’t feel mentally prepared for anything more.
Kate will soon appear on The Celebrity Traitors. In the star-studded spin off of the beloved game show, several household names will try to identify a trusted faithful as well as a traitor in an effort to seize the prize money.
Kate will be joined by celebrities from all over the entertainment spectrum, including Stephen Fry, Tom Daley, Clare Balding and EastEnders’ Tameka Empson.
