Kate Ferdinand, who has children and husband Rio, has stated that she was concerned about moving to Dubai after having a major stress. The former TOWIE star, 34, made the decision to travel to the city of the United Arab Emirates, where they first met while on vacation in 2016.

She confirmed they are starting their “new chapter” together in a poolside post last week. Kate and former footballer Rio, 46, said they were ready for “fresh starts and new beginnings” following the move from Bromley, south east London.

With their two children, two-year-old Shae and four-year-old Cree, they relocated to Al Barari, a gated community. Lorenz, 19, Tate, 17, and Tia, 14, who were Rio’s first wife’s children, Rebecca Ellison, who passed away from breast cancer in 2015, are the couple’s three children.

The reality star revealed the move was stressful for everyone, including their beloved dog Ronnie, even though Kate and Rio have lavish photos of their new home.

Moving was a big deal for us because I wasn’t sure if Ronnie would be able to handle the stress, as Kate revealed in a photo of Ronnie.

He has been settling really well, but because of the heat, he was unable to walk, so we went to an indoor play area this morning, which he absolutely loved.

Former TOWIE star Kate confirmed the big decision by saying, “A new chapter, a fresh start, because we won’t ever know.

“Ahhh! We’ve been discussing this for a while, but it finally seems like it’s happening. We’re here, we’re making a new home there, and we’ve been talking about it for a while. Rio worked as a pundit for TNT Sports in Bromley, where the family had resided.

However, the Manchester United legend quit this role for the move overseas. It is quite the change for the clan, particularly Rio, who was raised in the hustle and bustle of Camberwell, south London.

The Al Barari residence is close to Dubai’s main social hubs and amenities. Other famous families live in the area, including Caroline Stanbury, a member of The Real Housewives of Dubai, and her husband, Sergio Carrallo, a former player for Real Madrid.

In April of this year, Kate and Rio’s home was listed for 32.5 million dirhams (£6, 550, 310).

Al Barari, an exclusive gated community with over 15.3 million square feet of preserved green space, has been dubbed the “Green Heart of Dubai.”

The couple and three of their children have already shared photos of the city’s sights as they have been soaking up the sights.
