A former The Voice Kids star passed away at the age of 17 after a stroke. After spending several days in the hospital, Karen Silva passed away on Thursday morning.
A hemorrhagic stroke that resulted in her death was the result of a blood vessel rupture that allegedly caused bleeding into the brain.
Following her successful run on The Voice Kids in Brazil, Karen gained notoriety. She made it to the semi-finals of the talent contest in 2020, aged just 12 at the time.
Karen was a “symbol of empowerment,” according to her spokesperson. “More than just a promising artist. especially for young black girls who found inspiration in her and the capacity to dream.
All who knew her and followed her journey, according to them, will leave a lasting impression on her music, message, and joy.
According to NeedToKnow, she is alleged to have passed away in Volta Redonda, northwest of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Her boyfriend Marcelo and her parents are also in Karen’s care.
Her father, Sérgio da Silva, reported to the local media that the singer had not displayed any symptoms of illness prior to her stroke. He added, “She left her house to go for lunch on Friday, and she went into a coma three hours later.”

Carlinhos Brown, a judge on The Voice Brasil, was one of the celebrities online paying tribute to the teenager.
The star’s translated post on Twitter/X read, “We were all taken by surprise by Karen Silva’s sudden departure, who entered the studios of The Voice, who was a member of our teams, and who will leave memories that will be most meaningful to us all.
Karen Silva excelled in both our show and in life, always upbeat and interested in expanding her musical knowledge. We bid a powerful person farewell today by sending our thoughts and condolences to his family.

Lana Netto, Karen’s first vocal coach, added, “She sang the song and enchanted everyone with her striking voice.”
