Strictly Come Dancing professional Jowita Przystal has spoken out for the first time after confirming her romance with last year’s celebrity dance partner Pete Wicks. The dancer sparked fierce speculation she was dating Pete during their time on the BBC dance competition.
While they both tried to play down the rumours, the pair shared many sizzling dance routines together and struck up a close bond away from the dancefloor. Fans hoped something would come of the chemistry, yet Pete, 36, became linked to Love Island’s Maura Higgins.
Up until the beginning of this year, when they split, Pete was caught meeting up with Jowita, a 31-year-old woman. Although the two initially claimed to be close friends, they later admitted to doing so in secret, and last night they managed to seal the deal.

Jowita joined TOWIE’s Pete at London’s O2 Arena for his Staying Relevant podcast show alongside best pal Sam Thompson. They performed a dance routine they had hoped to do at the Strictly final but locked lips three times during the dance.
Jowita has sent her fans a message several hours later. She wrote, “I’m still buzzing after my performance last night, and to be honest, I feel absolutely speechless.” But I just wanted to say thanks to @stayingrelevantpodcast for including me in your legendary one-night only because you always make me feel like a member of the family.
Jowita then thanked her team for creating the routine as well as her hair and makeup artists. She continued, “Massive thanks to everyone who came to watch, thank you for all your beautiful messages, your support means everything.”

On his podcast, Pete confessed to being “in love” just weeks before locking lips with Jowita. When Sam asked him to take part in a lie detector test, he was asked, “Are you in love with someone right now?”
Pete said “no,” but it was later established that he was lying because the polygraph examiner found him telling the lies by downplaying his answer. Sam yelled, “Ahhh, I knew it!” And that’s all we’re going to say, according to Pete, who said, “How could you do that to me?”
The former Made in Chelsea actress said, “I don’t know, it just came to my head, it’s a f****** lie.” Secretly in love, Pete, and I believe I am aware of its identity.
Pete remarked, “You know who it is, I literally told you the f****** story, she hasn’t responded. Following Pete and Jowita’s very private dance last night, people became wildly indifferent. One person questioned, “Was that like a hard launch”?
A third wrote, “You &, jowita,” with a heart-eyed emoji, while a third said, “Hard launch for Pete and Jowita.” According to a source, Pete and Jowita have been dating for a while and are now a thing.
There was no crossover with Maura, but they kept things professional on Strictly. However, once Pete and Pete were single, they rekindled their friendship, and recently, the relationship has grown into more.
