Presenter Jordan North and comedian Josh Widdicombe had an awkward encounter live on radio this morning, with the Capital star convinced that his fellow comedian hated him after an awkward encounter

Jordan North was left thinking Josh Widdicombe hated him after an awkward encounter today. The presenter was hosting his Capital Breakfast show today alongside Chris Stark and Sian Welby when they welcomed Josh as a guest.

For years, Jordan has been convinced Josh doesn’t like him after the pair worked together some months back. Jordan explained that he was worried Josh didn’t like him – but said he didn’t want to be “needy”.

That led Chris and Sian to make a cunning plan, and convince Jordan that Josh secretly hated him. Speaking about the plan, fellow presenter Chris revealed: “When we knew Josh was coming on the show, he said to me, I just don’t think he likes me.”

Clips were then shown of Josh hugging everyone else much longer – and even responding sharply to Jordan’s comment about having to get close to the microphone to help with the audio quality.

Josh then explained he had received a message along the lines of ‘can you be really horrible to Jordan?’, which caused Jordan to quip back: “When you walked in, I looked at Callum and went – see!”

Jordan is currently hosting Capital Breakfast show, having led the programme alongside Chris Stark and Sian Welby.

He confessed: “I always joke but there’s been three guests we’ve had on in the last year and there’s two that don’t like me that I don’t think and I said ‘I don’t think Josh Widdicombe likes me either.’ Is that me being needy?”

“Well, where does the prank stop? Of course I do! You are a lovely presence on the radio and the television podcasts,” Josh then said. Jordan added: “It’s never that I just always got the vibe you didn’t like me. You’ve never been rude to me.”

Josh then chimed in to say: “No, I hope I haven’t. It’s because we’ve met on The Wheel and I’m always nervous on The Wheel,” as Jordan agreed. The pair had worked together on Michael McIntyre’s BBC show.

Jordan has been on the breakfast show since April 2024. Speaking about taking on the role, he said at the time: “My alarm clock is on, and I cannot wait to get started on Capital Breakfast! Buckle up as we’re going to wake the nation up with the best tunes, huge interviews and biggest laughs so make sure you tune in!”
