Jonathan Ross was one of the three Traitors in the first ever celebrity version of the show alongside winner Alan Carr and singing sensation Cat Burns

Jonathan Ross has revealed a “horrible” moment on Celebrity Traitors with Alan Carr that never aired. The chat show host was the first Traitor to be found out on the series after the Faithfuls rumbled his identity.

He worked alongside Cat Burns and eventual winner Alan Carr but didn’t quite pull the wool over the Faithfuls’ eyes. Despite taking to the sneaky role well, Jonathan has said there was one moment that didn’t make it on the show.

He said that there was a clip that left Alan with his “head in his hands” before going on to be crowned the winner. In a shock turn of events, Alan managed to win the show which means he won a huge amount of money for his chosen charity.

Jonathan appeared on ITV’s Good Morning Britain where he discussed the moment. Speaking about the show, Jonathan said: “I did feel it was much harder than I expected, and I did struggle with that.”

He then explained that there was one moment in particular which got him and Alan the most. Jonathan said: “Cat not so much, she said it was a game, she found it easy to put into perspective, even though often we’d be driving home much later at night than you guys, we’d be driving in the car with head in our hands going ‘oh God’.

“And Alan and I were very aware that it was taking its toll. But having said that, what a lovely opportunity what an incredible thing to be apart of.”

Showbiz reporter Richard Arnold went on to say that it was interesting that the show was “quite the pressure cooker that it was”.

Jonathan added: “It was horrible at times, because as a traitor you’re speaking to really nice people who you wanted to support in the show, and make sure they had a good times well.

“Then you would suspect, or be fairly certain they knew it was you. Whenever I do a show I always go in and said I’ll give as much as I can, try and help the show be as good as it can be. I always turn up to work.

“Then you have to try and engineer ways to get them out and you see them standing there being banished… because you’re successful and then you see they’re upset and to see someone upset, you’ve played a part in it.

“It’s a horrible feeling, even though it’s essential to the game.” Viewers were shocked when it was revealed that ALan had managed to win the game.

Despite continuously smirking when Faithfuls were banished, somehow he still managed to go undetected. When he was crowned the winner, Alan burst into tears as he admitted he had found the process difficult.

The comedian said: “I was awful, I had no poker face but here I am. Maybe I do exaggerate a showbiz story now and again. But to just lie to people’s faces, it was tough.”
