Although only 21 years old, JoJo Siwa has been one of Celebrity Big Brother’s standout stars, but the singer and media personality has had a fantastic career.
JoJo Siwa has been one of the standout celebrities on this year’s Celebrity Big Brother – and many predict the 21-year-old finalist will take home the crown.
It’s JoJo’s friendship with Love Island star Chris Hughes that has had eyebrows raising, as the pair have been seen cuddling and ticking each other’s in bed as they share a close bond.
Despite their close relationship, JoJo is currently dating Kath Ebbs, and during the penultimate episode, was seen teary eyed as she received a note from her mother which said her partner was “keen to see her.” However, JoJo questioned why her partner didn’t tell her she loved her.
Before her significant screen time on Big Brother, the 21-year-old American had already led an impressive life, as Curiously Media shared in a viral TikTok clip. Some viewers are only now recognising her from previous appearances, while others, previously unfamiliar with her, are discovering her many impressive achievements at such a young age.

Many CBB fans have taken to social media, some of whom have admitted they were unaware of JoJo’s identity. One viewer said, “I must be old because I don’t know who JoJo Siwa is.” No idea, just the same. I typically have three or four of them, she continued.
Another person remarked, “Me neither, I have never heard of her.” A parent remarked, “I only know her because my kids adored Dance Moms.” Another said, “I only know this because my daughter has watched Dance Moms” repeatedly.
JoJo, whose full name is Joelle Joanie, became famous after appearing on Lifetime’s hit program Dance Moms, which pitted talented children against one another in fierce dance competitions and drama between their mothers and the dance instructor.
2.51 million viewers watched the program at its peak. After competing on the TV show “Abby’s Ultimate Dance Competition” at the age of 10, JoJo made the cast. JoJo’s influence caused Abby to invite her to Dance Moms. JoJo made a mark with her vibrant bows, rainbow accents, and larger-than-life personality throughout her time on the show.
The singer and dancer from Nebraska, United States, dropped her first two studio albums, “Boomerang” and “I Can Make U Dance.” Boomerang’s music video has been viewed more than one billion times, and JoJo has since released 11 more songs.
Last year, she went viral for her upbeat track Karma. The music video has racked up over 52 million views on YouTube. In 2018 she was named Breakout Artist of the Year by Vivid Seats and embarked on a major tour in 52 cities globally.
JoJo has also done a lot of acting, and not just for the music. You might have heard or seen her voice in a video that Curiously Media shared. The Nickelodeon starlet Siwa has made acting comedies in numerous TV shows and movies. In Blurt, she took the lead! and The J Team, her own 2021 feature film, as well as Lip Sync Battle Shorties.
Siwa also made her mark in the gaming world, featuring as a playable character in the 2020 video game Nickelodeon Kart Racers 2: Grand Prix and its 2022 sequel, Nickelodeon Kart Racers 3: Slime Speedway.
Siwa performed as “T-Rex” in the third season of The Masked Singer in 2020 while being just 16 years old. She was the show’s youngest contestant. She was also named one of Time’s annual list of the top 100 most influential people in the same year.
JoJo, who gave voice to characters in The Angry Birds Movie 2, has also launched her own bow collection at Claire’s Accessories. She collaborated with American department store J. C. Penney to release her very own line of accessories, bedroom decor, and even her very own doll in 2018.
