Fans were shocked when Chris Hughes declared himself single on the most recent episode of the BBC show Celebrity MasterChef.
JoJo Siwa fans have been left speechless after Chris Hughes declared himself single. The reality TV star is appearing on BBC’s Celebrity MasterChef and admitted he “wants a girlfriend”.
Chris, 32, states in this week’s episode, “So, I live on my own. Since I’ve been single for three years, I don’t feel like cooking for anyone. No one else can appreciate it if I’m just cooking for myself.
He ended by saying it’s “quite sad really, isn’t it?” But his comments shocked fans of his and JoJo’s. The pair met earlier this year as they appeared in the Celebrity Big Brother house. After forming a formidable friendship, the duo shared a romantic connection outside of the TV show.

But after his comments on air, fans questioned what was going on. One user on Twitter /X said: “Why is Chris saying he’s been single for 3 years?” Another added: “Chris had been with JoJo for ages and he says he’s single?”
Others were curious as to when the footage was actually captured. A third viewer questioned, “This was definitely filmed after he met JoJo.” One user asked, “Was this recorded before Chris and Jojo got together?”
In fact, the episode was shot in the CBB house before Chris and American JoJo met. Before Chris’ time spent in the house, it was confirmed that the series’ filming had been finished.
The duo continue to communicate their journey to their fans online and are undoubtedly still very much loved up. And Chris recently revealed the precise moment he experienced falling in love with the ex-Dance Moms star.
His admission confirmed a theory that couple fans had hatched months ago. The 32-year-old former Love Island contestant and the 22-year-old American singer first made contact earlier this year on Celebrity Big Brother.
On the Question the Default podcast, Chris has since opened up to Harry Corrin. He retorted, “Nothing happened, it just happened. It wasn’t forced or rushed.”
Shortly after CBB, Chris claimed to have traveled to Mexico to meet her. He said, “I surprised her, which was nice.” It all began when I spent a few days with her and her family in Orlando before returning home.
He continued, “I met her in Mexico, and there it developed and things changed. which was lovely and kept to herself.
It simply happened, though, and it was genuinely lovely. Nothing was forced or rushed. The pair’s six months since Chris and JoJo first met have suggested they have planned their weddings. JoJo, an American star, has revealed her intentions for the aisle.
JoJo once told The Sun, “Weddings are for two people. So we would have to choose how it would appear. However, I am aware that I need to assist Chris in creating the playlist and that I want it to have a baby-blue scheme.
